Annoying problem with controllers

I am playing NBA Live 2007 with 2 of my friends. We like to play dynasty or season mode together so we're playing in the same team and we each control one player. So even the players are locked, during the game, suddenly i switch to another player even though i don't want that. That happened 20 or more times yesterday. We all have Logitech controllers Rumblepad 2 and one Dual action 2 and we tried with drivers installed and not installed. Same problem. Does anybody knows if there is some combination of buttons that overrides player locking or is it just another bug?
