DetroitPistons13, extract the files into the sgsm folder of your main Live installation folder.

AIACT update 1.1 preview

Denver dominated the boards grabbing 24 on offense, and ended up shooting 100 shots, while Phoenix passed really well, getting 31 assists. Marcus Camby took 21 shots which was the most on shots taken for a player by Denver, but he did have 13 offensive boards, which is probably the reason.

POTG was AI, with 25 points and 12 assists.

Sat Jan 27, 2007 6:54 am

How can i remove the ESPN Scoreboard and replace it with the original?

Sat Jan 27, 2007 8:42 am

DetroitPistons13, you need winrar to extract the archive. Your main installation folder is most likely C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NBA Live 07. The sgsm folder is in that directory.

Dennis Rodman, delete the following files from your sgsm directory-

logos~score~****.big - The **'s are a wildcard for the team abbreviations, there will be a file for each team that you need to delete.
overlays~score.big

maybe its because i have the DVD version but i dont see anything that has to do with that

Sat Jan 27, 2007 1:37 pm

The installation folder is on your hard drive, not the DVD. Here is an easy way of finding your installation folder.
Find the icon that you normally click to run NBA Live 07. Right-Click on it and select properties. A window will popup showing you the properties of the shortcut. There should be a button that sais "Find target", click it and your main NBA Live installation folder will open in a window. Find and open the sgsm directory. Now you should be able to extract the archive into that directory.

ok thanks i got it this is sweet

Pdub, is there any possibility of you editing the fastbreak? i mean during the 2on1 or 3on1 situation the player will have a tendency to pass to the open man instead of driving all the way in even though the lone defender is guarding him. Thanks!! keep up the good work :)

Is there nothing you can do about offensive rebounding? The CPU gets way too many.

Otherwise it's looking good, I've had some enjoyable moments playing.

Sun Jan 28, 2007 9:26 am

Offensive rebounding is only bad because you just started playing. ;)
Forget about boxing out, it just doesn't work and takes too long to initiate the animation. Try to let your computer teammates grab the board for you, or help out with a small forward or shooting guard. When you can, always use a bigman who is an inside stopper and use the superstar rebounding to grab the board. Sometimes I feel that the ball is magnetic at times, and will bounce towards one of the other teams good rebounders, so I try to push them anywhere I can, especially if I can push them directly under the basket.

Sun Jan 28, 2007 7:15 pm

Meh, need to adjust playing style (N) Well, let's see, I'm just learning to guard the point guard

Still you gotta admit that rebounding, PG-AI, and passing are fu*ked up this year. Otherwise it would be a great great great game.

Sun Jan 28, 2007 7:36 pm

Imo, EA took a shortcut to fix the offensive rebounding by having your player jump away from the ball by default, yet the cpu still jumps toward the ball. I like to guard the ball handler, and when they shoot I go to help rebound. Rebounding is still better than last year. You can still use the tipin button to interrupt any layup animation.

Guarding the point guard isn't that hard, you only need to do it in transition to stop that coast to coast crap. I play with a press view, and you can tell when the pg is trying to drive to the rack. If the pg goes to either sideline, they are trying to get past you. Try to get to them before they reach the 3 point line, at halfcourt or even in the backcourt if you can. Get close and initiate the dribble drive defensive animation. Push in the direction that they are going and then curl the left analog stick slowly towards the their ball hand. You don't need to use turbo or the right analog(push down) but when it looks like I am getting beat I alternate between tapping turbo and the right analog and it seems to help. Once they bump you or do the crossover animation, move your left analog in the opposite direction. Don't push directly against the pg or they will bump you and then get right past you. Once the pg starts to go to the top of the 3 point line, you know he is setting up a play, sometimes they will stop at the wing, too. If you let them get past the free throw line, you will have to bump them a few times to get them to pass.

I agree on the AI and passing. The AI never notices wide open players on the wing or under the basket. I have been trying to improve that. The late game AI really needs improvement. They don't use plays to free up 3 point shooters and don't have any plays for quick scores. Not enough screens are being used, and too much one on one dribble driving. End of gripe.

hmm, did you change the cpu playbook? coz i experience all those things. (ex. sf move through 3 screens then pg passing to him for an open three). if im not mistaken its a cavalier play. the cpu also does the rising sun play to me when i play against dallas.(Nowitzki moving through 2 screens then harris throw an alley hoop to dirk.)

Sun Jan 28, 2007 11:52 pm

I didn't change any playbooks. I'm talking about really late game situations when the cpu is losing and there is the possibility of a comeback. I don't see them running good plays to try and make that comeback. They just run towards the sideline and try to shoot a 3.

Mon Jan 29, 2007 12:43 am

yeah, during late game comebacks they shoot 3 most of the time. i remember last night the cpu pull a 3points buzzer beater on me. they won 98-97. :(

Mon Jan 29, 2007 4:20 am

thanks i got it

That's weird, with me they do the opposite in this situation, dribbling aimlessly without passing the ball to their best 3pt shooter... :?
I was pretty happy wih REDD's fix, but I'll give your aiact a try Pdub, looks sweet. (Y)

I've had that happen, too. Its like they are confused on whether to pass to a 3 point shooter or get beyond the arc and shoot it themself.
