all those teams with only two of the post '00 teams i created last year.I know the '01 sixers werent the greatest..but AI went crazy that 1st game of the finals....I think the '00 Lakers deserve to be there...since they were the best of the 3peat LA teams..and since i'm a laker fan.
Here's a tentative list of the teams for this year......it may change..depending on reference pictures and how much time i have.
I've decided not to do anymore post '00 teams other than the Lakers and Sixers.
If there's a classic team you think i forgot...please let me know

92 Cavs?....damm Jordan ate them up that year..I might consider it.
Hot Rod Williams,Ehlo,Price,Nance and Daugherty...that was a solid team
Looking thru the files i noticed former Cav legend Larry Nance and former Celtic dee brown(not really a legend) are included in the game. They were stuck on team number 38 in the dbf files.Team 38 is the referees.I put them on the free agent list

cant wait....

Why not convert these 3?
2000 Blazers with Sheed,Sabas,Bonzi,JO and Pipps. 2000 Pacers with Reggie,Reggie,Reggie and Reggie(JK... Jalen rose and Rik Smits are good too... and Derrick Mckey with Al Harrington... good team). and 2002 Kings with Bibby, Christie,Divac(I think,Or was it Peja?)... Pretty sure these are better names than the players who played in the Nets with doc J.
But that's your patch, and whatever you do is good enough for me.
BTW I agree with releasing 95' Rockets next, and 92' Cavs somewhere in the future.
Can't wait for the next part

Those are good ones....but at the same time I dont want to overwhelm myself with too many teams.Even though it's a conversion.... the process takes quite a long time.I might run into a problem with the '02 Kings with the jersey's too.The '02 home and away are not in game and someone would have to make numbers for me.This year ea decided to make numbers o -99 in the uniform .fsh file. That would be time consuming.
I'm leaning more towards the '94 Rockets for the fact that it had a much better overall record and because I think im going to make a 92 Blazer team that already has Drexler on it.
I already created a 91 Warriors and the 92 Blazers courts so those might be in the next 3 after this last batch is released. We'll see..sometimes I change my mind

Do you have any interest in the Milwaukee bucks of the 80's? They had an interesting looking flooring in the mecca.

Aight... but still,if you're finished with the whole thing before the time you thought you would, will you make those 3?
another suggestion:The 84' Nuggets, like the best scoring team ever, with more than 10 grands of points, with Alex English... that'd be good...

hey Notorious. Are you going to release a Houston Rockets patch ? I'm searching for a Vernon Maxwell cyberface
Sat Jan 27, 2007 1:00 pm
I had ideas for an ambitious project in the past, back when Don Daily had his historic patches...
I wanted to do a roster set for every 5 year period, with the best/most memorable season for every team represented. I picked out all the teams I wanted to do, but obviously never got too far. Every year I've wanted to try it again...it's only about now that I'm really coming to grips with the fact I never will.
But anyway, I'd like to see the '86 rockets with Olajuwon/Sampson.
Geez, I should really just try to do the '85-90 version of this idea, so many cool teams from that era, the '88 season is the one I remember best of any...
But 5 year intervals is getting so short anyway, it's to the point of nearly doing every team...too bad it's not easy to convert all the historical rosters from '03, they had nearly every season done then yet - but so many players had horrible create-a-faces (ie wrong skin color), too many mistakes; and adding old logos and everything would be tricky...it's all an impossible dream

In that link

there are only 3 teams, and the screenshots show many teams....

I hear ya mcchako.....its tough finding time to do projects...
as far as the rockets go.....I had that team in mind i just need reference pics good enough for portraits
I still remember sampson's shot over kareem at the buzzer.
It was terrible.....last picture was michael cooper lying on the floor....
Here's the clip...........Damm it still pisses me off lol

Great work on this mod!
Can any of the new teams be used or converted to be used on NBA Live 06?
Also can any Washington Bullets or Phoenix Suns teams of the 70's be added?
Thanks again.
Your work has been enjoyed.

I kind of think it would be worthwhile to do teams even if you can't find portraits; leave blank portraits, and just customize some faces ingame to approximate them...as long as you have uniforms and courts, it'd still be fun.
Portraits/good faces for the good players, but get by with 'edit player' cyberfaces for no-names...
Except half the fun is the memorable no-names. Speaking of the '86 rockets, for instance - I doubt that the game has a proper mullet for Hank McDowell. And that team had Granville Waiters too! Surely he deserves a real portrait and cyberface.
