cheat the salary cap in dynasty mode ??

Hi and greetz 2 all,just joined the forum and this is my first post so forgive me if i posted this in the wrong place or whatsoever.I just wanted to know can i change the salary cap with a cheat in my dynasty from -20 to 20.I tried using a couple of programs that edit the memory of the game and change the values inside a variable,but it didn't change my value inside the game.I never seen a trainer or a cheat for any nba live before,so i guess that when a trainer for nba live 07 comes out it also won't have this function.If anyone knows which software 2 use and how please post

I believe you should read up on how to use the .dbf editor. Just edit your player's salaries or something.

I believe its very similar to Live 06. Just search for the stickied thread in the Live 06 Dynasty Issues.

To add to what Marquis said, there are also a few sections in nba-live.com dedicated to .dbf editing. You can also download the trial version from there as well.

so far ive dbf edited some player contracts on my team n decreased my payroll n havent had any crashes..wat i did was lower my players salaries to about 1 mil thus clearing up cap space so i had money to either sign free agents or trade for high salary players

can u tell me how u've edited the players contracts.I can't find neither the hex values of my team's salary or the salary of the players

i'll go step by step because i dont want to confuse u

1) open players.dbf and find the player you want to edit

2) go to the column "cash_year" this is one of the columns you are going to be editing...in this box you will enter the salary you want to pay your player per year. What i did was put my players to earn 664K per yeam so in that box i put 664...for example if you want to put 1.75 million just remove the decimal n you should enter 1750, 744K would be 744, 12 mil would be 12000 get it?

3)find the column " cash_total" this is the amount the player is owed over the length of the contract. depending on the the length of the contract found in column "years_long" you will need to multiply the value in column "cash_year" x the number in column "years_long" and the answer is put into "cash_total" column

4)in the "cash_raise" column just put it to 0

5)so all u have to do is go through the players on your roster who's contracts u want to lower and just follow those steps. Now you have a better chance of acquiring high priced players either by trade of free agency because now u have the cap room to do so.

If any of it is unlcear please let me kno...and another thing dont change which team a player is on in players.dbf the game will crash

Yes DBF Editor or DBCommander will work perfectly.

Microsoft Excel also works, but it's highly recommended that you don't. I heard it can screw around with your game.

can you d this with a created player???bcoz im trying to sign created player with a 99 ratings into my team (SIXERS) and it demand with a higher salary cap,what should i do to sign up my created player in my team???

yea exactly just sign him if u dont have room just release a player..dont change his team through editing players.dbf file

Only negative is that editing all NBA teams is a pain I wish that hex could be found

why do you need to edit the other teams?
you cant sign players to CPU teams

with your created player u should copy his info line n paste it into the new players.dbf file in ur dynasty folder. change his team to 50 n then change his salary to wat u want it to be. load your dynasty and sign your created player. just follow my instructions above on how to lower the salaries of players.

ahh oke....but where to edit the salary cap or salary space of a team??bcoz when i try to sign my player,it says at the PDA that "you have no salary cap space to have this deal...etc"
what do i do with this???

if you lower a bunch of players' contracts on your roster there should be no reason why u shouldnt be able to sign him for what he is asking for..lower the more higher paid players and im sure u'll have cap space

tnx a lot for your help,no need of editing the "salary someting" bcoz i just found the easier way to sign my created, i just open the player.dbf and find and edit my players team (i put 21 bcoz 21=sixers) and there it is,my created player is in the sixers team,no need for signing free agents........

It works the same but you need to look up 8F CF 00 and change it to A0 86 01
