why do i keep throwing alley-oops...

...when i'm simply using the left analog stick to move?!?!? it's VERY FRUSTRATING! it doesn't matter if i control a guy like Doleac, he'll just keep throwing the ball in the air like he's gonna alley-oop it to himself when all i'm doing is simply moving about on the floor!
i haven't played a single minute of the game yet 'cos i'm afraid all i'll do is throw alley-oops endlessly! i was in practice mode and i pressed the turbo button and ran towards the rim and then hit the dunk button but what did Doleac do? he alley-ooped to himself which hit the rim instead of dunking!!!
how do i stop this?

P.S. i'm using Logitech Dual-Action controller and i haven't touched a single controller setting!

Then bind your buttons in the configure controller screen and save it.

it was the alley-oop button! if i bind it to *any* controller key, it would keep throwing alley-oops even when i don't want it to. i solved it by binding the alley-oop with the space bar on the keyboard.
