Cyanide, you are somewhat correct, when you are guarding the pg by yourself, get ready for him to drive, 90% of the time he will go to the hoop, even if he has to bowl over you.
In the event that you let the CPU pg guard him, I would say it is reduced to about 65% of the time, and anyone else who then gets the ball is gonna do the same thing. I have experimented extensively, but cannot come up with a workaround for it. This is a bug and it must be fixed. Shot selection for the CPU is just terrible!

After sleeping on it, I have come up with a list of items that EA or this sites programmers / contributors could fix:
1. CPU substitutions needs fixed
2. PG dominance needs to fixed
3. Add some signature jump shots - Come on EA (this web site and its loyal NBA Live gamers deserve this!)
4. Add missing players not on the rosters (mostly 12 men and IR players)
5. Update the rosters moving players on the Free Agent pool to a team
6. Where is the ESPN presentation? Please incorporate more of a TV style broadcast.
7. Tweak the player ratings... they are slightly off.
8. The game crashes when exiting

I'm not buying until there's a bug fix. I can't do my dynasty with the CPU not subbing at all, players sitting on thin air and on other players on the bench, the non-removal of the square in instant-replay and the fucked up direct pass.
They're the main ones i want fixed by EA. Roster/graphical updates are done here on this site.

its not just CPU, user subs dont work either, unless you do it manually.

Damn this sucks.
I was expecting a great game and now I hear all of these complaints.I don't have the game yet myself.But is this all true?

The only problem I'm concerned about is the CPU not subbing and the PG taking too many shots. EVerything else is cosmetic, and those things I can deal with because they don't effect gameplay.

Agreed. If those 2 things are fixed by EA, everything else is easily patchable by the community, and it's even possible that we can figure out the answer to the other two as well. No worries.

Agreed with bigwhore, the graphics look reeeeeall nice and patching will do wonders for the visuals of the game.

EA said they were already planning a patch. I bet it was for these reasons. But if (well they better) they are releasing a patch I hope it is to fix these problems.

I was going to get NBA Live 07 but after that news I am not so sure to do this

you should also send in the 3+ pages of loyal Live players thinking about/already switching to NBA 2k7. maybe that will encourage them to work harder.

I want to report a few more flaws:
1. There are just 4 camera angles..
2. When you play online (Direct connection) there's no referee. It looks like ghost gives you the ball..
3. When you finish playing online (Direct connection) and another player terminates the connection you are sent back to Main menu. No chance to review stats or smth like that..
4. Too many fouls..
5. It was really much better when we could see some main stats in pause menu rather than jeep...
That's it for now, but i I think I will discover more of these bugs while playing, because I have it just for one day now and I noticed plenty of flaws already..

Four camera angles is not really a flaw, more of just a lack of choice and fouls can be adjusted using sliders, unless they removed that slider 
There really are alot of bugs in this game and I wonder who on earth tests it, I think Andrew should be given the game to test too and report back to EA what they need to fix because there are bugs in the game that are really easy to notice but for some reason they are in the game

I just visted the EA forums for Live to see if they were petitioning too, but they weren't. I feel like I lost a few brain cells after being there a while.

I'm a long time member and mod of this site yet EA has forced me to jump ship this year. Last year i got both 2k and live..this year i've gotten 2k only. This thread doesn't do shit to make me wanna play this game...im just waiting for reviews before i make my final decision.

I'm one who is experiencing this problem and I have the downloaded version from EA. I haven't tried any season play yet to see if it occurs there. (which would suck if you couldn't save your season/dynasty) The point guard driving to the lane all the time is annoying too. I really hope they release a patch for this ASAP! This stuff should have been squashed by beta testers long ago.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or just my bad understanding of the rules. I noticed this in Live 06 and it's in Live 07 as well. When getting the ball out of bounds at midcourt, you are called for a backcourt violation if you throw it in to the backcourt. Is this a bug in the game or is this the way the rules are? I might be confusing it with college basketball which I know they allow you to throw it into the backcourt on just about any out of bounds position. Thanks!

That would be awesome if they could fix that! Of course, I can live with it. It just drives me nuts that you have only a few seconds to pass in, and its hard to negotiate where your player is sometimes.

That would be awesome if they could fix that! Of course, I can live with it. It just drives me nuts that you have only a few seconds to pass in, and its hard to negotiate where your player is sometimes.
then just turn off backcourt violations. There isnt any advantages that can be taken with it off.

whats the difference? There is no advantage in having it off. Maybe you get lucky and he goes back over the line, big deal, he still has 24 seconds to shoot. If he is that far back then thats his problem.
