Real Hands

You know sometimes wen playin real b-ball the ball slips out of your hands, or you lose your dribble or you trip or miss a step? They should put that in to force you to be more careful with the ball, and make you feel like your realing playing. i have lost many games to guys who just drive the ball with a fast player and do a simple layup all game. This would slightly contain that, and it should apply to rebounding too. You grab a rebound in player traffic and you get bumped in the air and you lose control of the rebound forcing multiple players to dive or scramble for it especially in the 4th quarter. And also wen a player is on the ground and you run next 2 him, 1 of 2 things should happen. You trip over him whether or not you have the ball or you hop over him. Ea needs to eliminate that graphics glitch thing where you run into another player at any time in the game and they just move each other aside without really touching. The sameway they actually allow you 2 dunk on people now and rebound while touching players, that should be in every aspect of the game. Boundary forcefield needs to be romoved becuase in real life if you step out you step out no bouncing in. And bring in alllllllllll freethrow rituals, dreamcast did it so i know ea can do it

I don't really understand this wish... You want the players to have balls slip out of their hands and lose their steps? How does that force you to be more careful with the ball? I don't see how implenting this would make the game feel more like an NBA game.

Okay put it this way. No one in this world has sticky hands. Sometimes when backing down a player you lose control of the ball, sometimes on a headfake the ball slips, sometimes in the air you lose the ball, sometimes when you go up for a dunk you lose the ball as you go up, you drive on the baseline and try to weasel through a crowd you lose the ball, sometimes you slip up and hit the floor and you have to protect the ball that wud also make ea create the jump ball situation in the game instead of just at the start of the game, sometimes in the 4th quarter players have lost the ball in those crucial moments, dribbled it off there foot and things like that. That would make it more real then ever, because there is not a game that goes by where someone doesnt lose control of the ball due to a misstep, a trip, butterfingers, bad ball handling skills, nervousness, pressure etc. Not only losing the ball when it gets stolen it shud happen many other ways also

NBA professionals rarely make those mistakes though. Is it really worth going to all that effort for only a minor addition?

And how would it work? Would the ball slip just on random chance?

it would work with something i like to call ppc "personal player confidence". At the start every palyer begins with the same amount confidence level, as you miss wide open shots, freethrows, get taken by your defender the level drops and the lower it gets the more uncharacteristic mistakes you make. And it would be a stat in the create a player also. The higher your confidence rating "similar to fatigue" longer it takes for your confidence to go down. And the best part of that would be the freethrows !! I have played the cpu endless times and some of the worst free throw shooters have made about six or 7 straight after i shut there asses down all game. And i put my freethrow speed on 100 becuase its not challenging. I would love it if my player with 84 % freethrow shooting would go to the line and it would move faster then it ought too because his confidence is down at the moment. Like the idea of the PPC Nick? Or still too much trouble to go through? And what better feeling going into the 4th quarter, game 7, the players confidence is down, your not at home, down by 8 points? You litterally have to bust your fuckin ass to win that game right?

I don't mind that idea of player confidence actually. Though i don't agree that everybody should start with the same level confidence.

In the end, i still don't think it would be a fantastic addition, but i guess it would be a pretty cool feature.
