Ratings changing drastically mid-season?

I already searched the forums for this and couldn't find anything. I have a dynasty with the Knicks and recently traded Quentin Richardson for Ricky Davis. In a simmed game, Davis got injured and was out for 3 weeks. Upon his return, he went from a 74 overall to a 68 overall and lost his high-flyer icon.

I've checked to make sure that he's not still injured and even simmed the whole season to see if his rating goes back to a 74 (and it doesn't). Has this happened to anyone else? I have played every year of NBA live and this has never happened to me. New feature in 06? If it is i'd say it's a pretty crappy one especially since they don't even acknowledge it happening in the game. Thanks.

I haven't seen that one. I've dealt with quite a few injuries but the ratings on display (with the exception of Primacy) have always gone back to normal for me. Has that happened often or just that once? Might have just been a rare bug.

ya its a career altering injury, i had garnett in live 2005 rated 98 or w/e his overall was, 2nd week in he gets injured for 4 weeks, when he comes bak he is 85, and his overall wont go up unless u train them

That's a nice feature if it was intented (i.e.: not a bug).

Career altering injuries do happen at time in the real NBA

yeah if intended it's nice. Hasn't happened to me though. I lost Tay Prince for 6 weeks and when he came back he was the same, season after he improved.
