Whats the Superstar challenge mode

i have the game and i have never heard of it, unless i just forget can someone refresh my memory

The Freestyle Dunk-Off involves two players going head to head on a split screen. As many dunks as they can complete to reach a target score, with the first player to reach the target score being the winner. Missed dunks and aborted dunks result in lost points.

The Freestyle Shootout is also head to head split screen, and is just one round of the three point shootout featuring two players, highest score wins.
