I was playing Direct IP online with a dude from my list and I had the Sixers.
The announcer and commentary kept talking about players who haven't been in the NBA for 3 or 4 years. LOL! or they just messed up the names.

It's a bug with online play. It doesn't seem to happen with EASO as much as it does with IP to IP play.

Actually it does come in handy when you're making old season roster patches. Apart from that, there's not much benefit.
