defensive steps and superstar trigger on Live 2006

As we all know, Ea has taken off the backdown key on NBA 2006.
The the defensive effect of the key was defensive steps.
Now, do we able to use this steps with the keyboard?
Cuz, without it, playing on 1 on 1 mode, actually worth nothing cuz it's almost impossible to guard good players without it.

On the other note, does the superstar trigger button available on defense mode? or only on the offernsive side of the game. (special shots)?

oh i see, first time poster, hmm...

what's the problem with what i've written?

Back down key is C-stick/Right Analog/Freestyle thingy down.
PLEASE SOMEBODY MAKE A DAMN STICKY OFFICIAL "BACK DOWN THREAD" or something, or I will.

TO Clarify, push your right analog stick down. As in, don't press the button, but move it's direction downwards. VOILA! BACKDOWN!

superstar button has effects in defensive too... you can perform reach-around steals etc.

as is said, i'm using keyboard so i asked whether there is an option to use defensive steps as well on the game.

yes. the option is "buy a gamepad"
