backdown/freestyle moves for pc version

guys, is there anyone out here who managed to do the backdown for the pc version? i managed to configure the keyboard to do the freestyle moves (as if using a gamepad), but i haven't figured out yet if there are some tweaks that could be made to enabled the backdown move.

look for your configuration file in my documents\nbalive 2006\configs and open it up with a notepad. for instance, i named my configuration as "popoy". you should see that file, open it up with notepad. try to add the following

bind K_Y R_UP
bind K_Y R_DOWN
bind K_Y RYAXISCHANGE
bind K_U R_LEFT
bind K_U R_RIGHT
bind K_U RXAXISCHANGE
bind K_I YAXISCHANGE
bind K_O XAXISCHANGE


the letters y, u, i , and o will be the freestyle keys on your keyboard. you can do those freestyle moves with these that's why i didn't have to guy a gamepad anymore. if you wanna assign it in a different key in your keyboard, try to change the letter after the underscore. i hope this one helps, im still trying to figure out how to do the backdown though.

if you wanna experiment with the configurations, follow the logic of the standard configurations. if you notice, there are already some "set" configurations for certain gamepads. i just tried to open up the wigman and the logitech rumblepad and followed the logic from there.

after all lines that has the word "bind" into it, just paste the codes after them then save it. try using the freestyle using the y,u,i,o on the keyboard.

it does. i've been using it since nba live 2004. try it out guys.

I still can't backdown or box out.. XAXISCHANGE and YAXISCHANGE are for movement.. so basically I'm only getting the up and right freestyle moves

oky i can manage the freestyle moves but no backdown. by the way sometimes players automatically backdown in the game especially Jason Kidd

ey guys can i bind my analog too?? i want my backdown to be one of the shoulder button keys just like in live 05, not in the right analog stick what should i do!?
cause its hard to backdown using the analog then pressing an action at the same time...

Isnt the backdown button also the block button? If so whats the boxout button. Boxout when the defense spread their arms and defend a guy, how do I get that key on keyboard?

Only RYAXISCHANGE and RXAXISCHANGE are the freestyle moves. Configure a button to them and you can perform freestyle moves. Btw, I wonder if anyone ever tried adding the configuration line from NBA Live 2005 to their user keyboard configuration? If you can bind Freestyle keys, why not try binding the "backdown" key from NBA Live 2005? I don't have a Live 2005 keyboard config file, so if someone does, please try it out.
