yeah and it suck coz 2 of my losses came from the blazers.
about me scoring 4 points, well Grant came back from the IR which move butler back to his 6th man role, and santos becomes 8th man after darko..206 wrote:Why don't you start with Odom as PF?
i started Odom at SF in my 1st season but in the playoff when Butler got injured, Grant played big as a starting PF while Odom still got his number at SF.
if you see Odom struggling, coz he's playing hurt but in my next game he will be 100% so expect good thing for him

Memphis Grizzlies (7-4) @ Los Angeles Lakers (7-3)
Game Preview
Lakers are coming off a loss and will try to bounce back as they host the Memphis Grizzlies. In this season, Lakers avoided a losing streak as they always perform well coming from a loss. In the game against Blazers, Bryant was the only bright spot for the Lakers who trailed 3’4 of the game. Lamar Odom struggled in that game playing hurt but will come into this 100%.
Memphis Grizzlies won their last game against Clippers and try making it 2 straight against Los Angeles teams. Pau Gasol led the team in scoring and rebounding. Jason Williams and 2 other players average double figures in scoring.
Chris Mihm will try to stop Pau Gasol but the Lakers also need to watch Grizzlies’ perimeter players in J-Wil, Miller and Posey. Bryant will again lead his team but he need helped from his teammates to avoid their first losing streak this season.
Game Recap

Grizzlies came to Staples Center to watch "THE KOBE BRYANT SHOW"
As expected, Bryant started well in this game. But it was not his scoring but his all-around brilliance in the game. He only scored 4 points but already grabbed 4 rebound and 3 assists in the quarter. Brian Grant was the beneficiary of this great passes as he lead the team with his 8 points. Grizzlies were limited to only 16 points on 33% shooting and without a single assists in this quarter. Lakers led, 24-16 as they enter the 2nd quarter. Chris Mihm and Lamar Odom took over in Lakers offense as they put the Lakers on top by 15 points midway in the 2nd quarter. To make thing worst for the Grizzlies, Gasol who called for his 4th foul before the 2nd quarter ended. J-Wil tried to bring back his team but to no avail. He’s the only Griz in double digit with 12 points and Gasol was scoreless in the 1st half. Lakers now lead, 49-36 at halftime break.
In the 2nd half was a Bryant show. He scored 13 points in the 3rd quarter, mostly on dunks and acrobatic lay-ups. Grizzlies were contended on watching Bryant and the Lakers built a huge 25 point lead. At the end of 3rd period, Lakers had a comfortable 20 point lead. The final period was just a formality as the game already decided in the 3rd period. Lakers just cruise along and played his bench ¾ of the quarter. Lakers again avoided a losing streak, winning it by 18 points. 95-78. Bryant led his team with 23 points and Grant had a great game with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Los Angeles Lakers (8-3) @ Denver Nuggets (8-4)
Game Preview
Lakers will try to start a new winning streak when they battle the Denver Nuggets. In their last game, Bryant put up a show and easily dispatching the Grizzlies. Though it was their defense that helped them win the game, limiting the Grizzlies to just 78 points in 38.5%. Brian Grant also had a great performance finishing double-double in that game. Lamar Odom also showed improvement after getting injured a few games ago.
Denver Nuggets are on a roll, winning 5 straight games. In this 5 wins, they won by 10 points or more 4 times. The M-trio of ‘Melo, Miller and Martin are doing wonders for the Nuggets. But another M is doing well, rookie McCants proved his the shooting guard the Nuggets were looking last season.
Lakers hope Lamar Odom to continue on improving and be back to his pre-injury form. He will be facing Carmelo Anthony in an exciting small forward duel. Lakers also need to put a great defensive job on K-Mart and hope Brian Grant can contain him one-on-one. Bryant will again here loud and game-long boos from the Nuggets fans.
Game Recap

Kobe Bryant was simply unstoppable in this game,
even he can't stop himself shooting 16 treys.
The KOBE BRYANT SHOW was on tour. But this time, he showed his outside shooting. Bryant was on fire from outside making jumpshot after jumpshot. He finished with 14 points in this quarter and Lakers quickly jumped to an early 26-19 lead. He also made 2 3-pointers including a buzzer-beater to end the quarter. Anthony try to keep on pace with Bryant with his 9 points. In the 2nd quarter, Grant an Odom joined Bryant as both players scored 8 points each. Bryant continued his great shooting, making 4 of his 5 shots in the quarter, 3 coming from downtown. Lakers completely pull away in this quarter and lead by a many as 26 points. Again, Lakers defense was the key in the game, forcing the Nuggets on 37% shooting in the 1st half. Lakers now hold a 22 point lead, 62-40.
Bryant struggles in the 3rd period and shot just 20% in this quarter, But the Nuggets never took advantage of this, letting other Lakers players to step up. The Lakers struggle making shots in this quarter but same with the Nuggets. Both teams shots less than 40% with Lakers outscoring the Nuggets 20-19 to hold on to their lead. The score was 82-59 going to the 4th quarter. For the 2nd straight games, Lakers cruise along in the 4th quarter. They win this one easily, 99-77 with Bryant finishing with 38 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. He also made a season-high 16 attempts from the 3-point area. Odom added 18 points and Santos have a career-high 8 rebounds. On the other hand, Anthony led the Nuggets with 21 points and Camby was the only other Nuggets’ player with double digit in scoring with 12 points.

jxuusa vs. Seraph

Xu (left) made the only lay-up of the game. Seraph (right) try to muscle his way inside.
Nov 25 Sat -- In what could be one of the most even match-up of this tournament, Reyes and Xu displayed one classic game and what can we say record-breaking game. The game was schedule at 5 p.m. but both team came 30 minutes early to shoot around and gave each other some time to joke around. Exactly 5:00 p.m. the games began, Reyes was awarded the ball after the miss shot by Xu. After almost 3 hours, the game still has no winner and the game tied at 8-all. The fans started to go home either to eat dinner or watch other basketball game in television. Only few stay to see who will win this game. When the game ended, those remaining fans were happy, clapping and shouting, and gave the 2 ballers some props for playing this well-even but somehow boring (sorry guys) game. Even I was happy it was over….
Both players were not able to show their game in this match-up. They were unable to used their strength, their inside game, their powerful dunk but they were able to show their shot blocking skill and some luck in making outside shots way beyond their shooting range.
Both players played almost the same style of game, from offense to defense. Reyes had the 1st opportunity to score. He dribble the ball, going left then to the right trying to escape Xu’s defense but Xu never let him pass and always in front of him. In the end, Reyes will try a hurried shot, which will be either just hitting the rim or be blocked by Xu. Then it will be Xu turned to score, doing the same thing Reyes did. He will dribble the ball, try to escape Reyes but to no avail, took a hurried shot and will either be counted as a missed shot or as a block for Reyes. This play you will see the entire game. Luckily both players were able to make a combined 19 jumpshots. The only lay-up of the game came after Xu missed the shot and he was able to get the offensive board and made the putback. That lone lay-up sealed the game for Xu as he wins this game 11-9. The game set a record for most categories,
Most shots taken: 131 combined shots
Lowest FG % (combined): 15.26%
Most block: 85 blocks
And last but not the least: It took me almost 1 hour watching this game, I took a shower, eat a snack and do shit and still the game was not finished.
Xu will now advance to the 2nd round and will face the winner of Klitsie-Santos match-up.
Screenshots from the Game
What else to show, one of Xu's block on Reyes.
Reyes 1 of his 35 blocks on Xu, the ball hit Xu in the face.
