Proper Tutorial Exporting/Importing Player Models In-Game

Is there a tutorial that shows how to export a player model from blender, making it a .iff file properly and importing it into the game? I think that would help people who are looking to do that sort of thing in the beginning. Maybe an updated tutorial would help because I'm having issues as well and after looking around here there's no proper tutorial yet.
