Not interesting and don't have free time to modding anymore,.
Replace the 3d model? It's possible as long it have same vertec number,in other way you must recreate the the hexpad model using brace 3d model as a base without add new/delete any vertec .
Or you can edit the global tree and root sructure, completely cut the order to select brace accs and create new task on those tree system and connected it with the hexpad accs. So when you editing player accs in game, hexpad accs will shown when you select brace accs. Something like that.
