Talk about NBA 2K14 here.

My quarter length is 6 minutes and the simulated quarter length is 6 minutes too, yet the AI players manage to score 20+ points per quarter while I'm sitting on the bench.
Has anyone else run into this issue? Surely this is a bug and not intended to be like this. Can someone confirm this?

I believe that was the case last year as well. I'm afraid I can't offer much insight into that as I play 12 minute quarters, so the scores have usually been appropriate.

Yeah its lame as hell and even lamer that they don't bother to fix it.

This is a really bad, game breaking bug for the MyPlayer mode. It alters the overall league stats, which in turn ruins your ratings.
How is this acceptable for a major videogame/company?

There might been different values between your Game Minute per Quarter than the Simulated Game Minute. Check ur settings. Default Simulated Time is 12 Minutes per quarter.

That's right. When you are subbed out, there're 2 choices: watch the game and they will use the Game play minute (as your case is 6 mins) or simulated till next appear and they simulate the game using the simulate minutes which is normally 12 mins. So you just have to reduce the simulate mins down as your game play to stop it (however this also effect other team simulate so you will see other player and team stat decrease much).

Agree. That's why when I play for 6 minutes per quarter, I usually set the simulated playing time per quarter by 8 or 9 minutes.

As per the original post, justonce01 has already set his simulated quarter length to six minutes.

Ive been keeping the Simulated minutes equal to my gameplay for a long time and the problem is still there

No. As I stated, they're both the same (6 minutes).
If I watched the match from the bench, the scores would be alright I guess. But as soon as you hit the ''Sim'' button to skip it, the scores skyrocket. Watching it wouldn't even be a solution, because the scores are still unrealistic for the other games which are being played.

Just an advice. Have more minutes for the game minute per quarter than the simulated playing time. I usually do that.
