Blazers' roster this season is so fun to use. Lillard for RotY! I like your week recap presentation.

A couple of tough matchups there, but I'm glad you at least got the win over Lol Angeles. I think this Blazers team can get at least a lower seed in the West.

WEEK TWO - Nov. 5 - Nov. 11
Record: 3-3 (2-1) | T-3rd in division

Image

Thanks to a career night from Damian Lillard in Dallas and a narrow win over the Clippers, the Blazers enjoyed a winning second week to sit at .500. Damian Lillard, in just his second week as an NBA player, was named the Western Conference Player of the week as Portland improves to 3-3.

Blazers Steamroll Mavs Behind Lillard's 40
11/5/12 - Blazers 109 @ Mavericks 95

Note to the rest of the NBA: Damian Lillard has arrived. In just his fourth NBA game, the rookie guard scored 40 points on just 19 field goal attempts, carrying the Blazers to a big win on the road in Dallas. Portland coach Terry Stotts after the game: "I'm as surprised as you are!"

Blazers Sign James Posey

Image The Blazers have signed Forward James Posey to 1 yr, minimum deal. The 35 year old small forward won championships in 2006 and 2008 with the Heat and Celtics respectively, and is known for his perimeter defense and three point shooting. He is expected to back-up Nicolas Batum at the small forward position. "I'm excited. I had a few offers, but only Portland promised that I would actually get to play", said Posey in his introductory press conference. The move is bad news for bench warmer Luke Babbitt.

Blazers Defeat Clippers Behind Strong Second Half
11/8/12 - Clippers 90 @ Blazers 93

This game was a tale of two halves as the first half saw an inept Blazer defense get dominated by the Clippers. However, they held Los Angeles to just 26 points in the second half to remain undefeated at home and get above .500. LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum had big games, but Lillard once again stole the show, posting 19 points and 9 assists on 8-12 shooting from the field.

LAC 30 34 13 13 | 90 [3-3] | Griffin: 17/8/4; Crawford: 17/5/2
POR 24 25 26 18 | 93 [3-2] | Lillard: 19/4/9; Aldridge: 28/6/1

Spurs Win Behind Big Fourth Quarter
11/10/12 - Spurs 101 @ Blazers 91

They played a good game, but Portland fell short against the Spurs at home, losing by 10. The game was close throughout, but the Blazers took a 7 point lead heading into the fourth. Unfortunately, Stephen Jackson had a huge game and the Spurs dominated the final period. Portland loses its first home game and falls back to .500 while the Spurs improve to 1st in the West.

SA 29 21 19 32 | 101 [6-1] | Jackson: 22/5/7; Duncan: 16/8/2
POR 26 20 30 15 | 91 [3-3] | Batum: 21/12/0; Aldridge: 20/10/1

Damian Lillard named West Player of the week!

Blazers rookie Damian Lillard was named the Western Conference player of the week. Lillard averaged 23.8 points, 7.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds as the team went 2-1.

Damn good game from Lillard, but Brandon Jennings had 55 in his rookie year too, I wonder if DL can keep it up and not flop like Jennings? (Y)

buzzy, Nah, I sim probably three fifths of the games. I didn't play the Lillard game, so I guess that's my reward for setting him as a top 3 option over Wes Matthews in Total Sim Control.

Valor, Despite his rating, Lillard is quite good in this game. Jennings is no all-star, but barring injury, I bet he's at least around a long time.

Martti., Six games into the season, I've had forty point games from both Lillard and Aldridge. Too bad our bench sucks. So much so that James Posey is actually a great addition.

Sit, Never!

For the first season, recaps are going to be weekly ones, with short recaps for sim games, and a pic + longer recap for played ones. However, I got drunk and fell asleep after the Spurs game. :P

Lillards a beast. He's really quick. Dunno how much Posey got left in his tanks, but he once was the perfect role player.

Hawks Destroy Blazers Despite Aldridge's 35
Hawks 104 @ Blazers 82

11/12/12 - LaMarcus Aldridge had 35 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists on 16-22 shooting from the field... and his team lost by 22. In a game that saw Atlanta dominate on both ends from start to finish, Aldridge was really the only Blazer who came to play. Meanwhile, Hawks newcomer Louis Williams had a huge outing with 22 points and 9 assists. The Hawks took an early 22-7 lead and the Blazers played catch-up the rest of the way. Thanks to porous defense and rough outside shooting, Portland would never make a run as they get blown out by home by 22.

Portland falls to below .500 with the loss, while the Hawks improve to 4-2. A dejected LaMarcus Aldridge declined to speak to reporters, and was fined $10,000. Not to be outdone, James Posey was fined $25,000 for a caught-on-camera profanity-laced tirade.

ATL 30 21 23 30 | 104 [4-2]
POR 21 20 18 23 | 82 [3-4]

LaMarcus Aldridge: 35 pts, 8 rebs, 4 asts, 2 stls, 16-22 FG
Damian Lillard: 13 pts, 6 asts
Nicolas Batum: 6 pts, 7 rebs, 4 asts, 3 TO's, 2-11 FG (Shitass)

Kings Hold Off Blazers For Second Win
11/13/12 - Blazers 92 @ Kings 97

After being blown out at home by Atlanta, the Blazers went on the road where they fell short against the bottom-feeding Kings. Batum came to play, but Aldridge didn't as the Kings hung around to grind out a win.

POR 23 23 24 22 | 92 [3-5] - Batum: 18/10/5 stls; Hickson: 14/8/1

Batum, Aldridge Lead Blazers Past Rockets
11/16/12 - Rockets 89 @ Blazers 105

Thanks to huge games from the dynamic duo of LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum, Portland was able to get revenge on their meeting from earlier in the season, blowing out the Rockets. Kevin Martin and Jeremy Lin once again played well, but it wasn't enough as the Blazers' three game losing streak comes to an end.

Seems like consistency is lacking as Batum and Aldridge both need great games to give you a win. Lillard does not put up the numbers he does IRL I guess?

WEEK FOUR: 11/18 - 11/24
Team Record: 5-7 (1-2) | 5th in division'

Image

Week four was a mixed bag for the Blazers as they had a moral victory against the Bulls (hey, it is a rebuilding year after all!), a huge win in Phoenix, and then a heartbreaking shellacking as the hands of Brandon Roy and the Wolves. Despite being in the division basement, a 5-7 record is not damning going forward. While there have been rumors of a J.J. Hickson trade, Terry Stotts and co-captain Nicolas Batum say spirits are high in the Blazer locker room.

Bulls Hold Off Blazers
11/18/12 - Bulls 89 @ Blazers 88

Terry Stotts called this the best game the Blazers played all season, but unfortunately they still lost to the first place Bulls 89-88. Batum and Aldridge put up big numbers in a game that was close until the end, but the league's best team was just too much and Luol Deng had a huge outing. Portland falls to 4-6 on the season while Chicago improves to 10-1.

CHI 21 24 23 21 | 89 [10-1] - Deng: 24/11/2, 10-15 FG; Rose: 22/4/6
POR 19 27 19 23 | 88 [4-6] - Batum: 26/9/2; Aldridge: 20/12/3 blks

Blazers Dominate Suns In Fourth Quarter
11/21/12 - Blazers 101 @ Suns 87

Image
Better pics are coming soon, I promise. The recaps are backlogged.

With a huge fourth quarter, the Trail Blazers have defeated the Phoenix Suns 101-87. The Suns hung in the game throughout, but Aldridge and the Blazers would not be denied. Aldridge had 31 points and 15 rebounds, while Nicolas Batum and Damian Lillard also chipped in big numbers.

Portland played well throughout but could not pull away from the Suns. It wasn't until the fourth quarter that everything clicked as the Blazer offense rolled and the Suns couldn't buy a bucket. This game truly showed the importance of having a star player as Aldridge completely destroyed the Suns.

POR 23 28 19 31 | 101 [5-6] - Aldridge: 31/15/4 stls (PotG); Lillard: 16/4/11; Batum: 18/9/4
PHX 24 23 24 16 | 87 [5-7] - S. Brown: 18/8/4; Gortat: 15/7/1; W. Johnson: 11/0/0, 5-6 FG

Wolves Maul Blazers In Portland
11/23/12 - Wolves 100 @ Blazers 78

The Blazers proved to be no match for the Northwest division leading Minnesota Timberwolves. Batum and Aldridge didn't disappoint, but Portland's offense was stagnant throughout. Former Blazer Brandon Roy had 9 points in his first game against his former club. He was met with a smattering of both boos and cheers. Roy, who was draining fluid out of his knee in the locker room said, "Boos, cheers, either way, we won."

MIN 23 27 25 25 | 100 [8-3] - Love: 25/14/2; Kirilenko: 12/4/5 stls
POR 16 20 30 12 | 78 [5-7] - Aldridge: 20/13/0; Batum: 24/5/1

Division Standings:
Minnesota 8-4
Utah 9-5
Oklahoma City 8-6
Denver 6-7
Portland 5-7

Next week, a monthly recap and perhaps some exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage. Thanks for following, guys.

Hey Lamrock, I stumbled upon this whole website and will be reading this all soon. I just created an account because when I google searched for nba association stories and stumbled to Sit's "A Legend is Born II" and it's a great read!! But I got curious as to if the people posting on their were active on the website and everything yet, so I was quite surprised when I made an account and joined the forum to see that you all are still at it, and can't wait to continue to follow! :D

Thanks and welcome to the forum. ALIB II is a great read and probably the best association/dynasty story to date. I'd definitely recommend ALIB III and some of the classics in the HOF if you've got the time. Welcome to the forums!

You are really going through this fast, do you just sim?
Lillard is one of my favorite players to use on 2k13, but for some reason I can't seem to put up big scoring numbers with him, I've turned him into a more big assist/low points guy as a back up point guard right now on my association.

WEEK FIVE: Nov. 25 - Nov. 31

It was a great week for the Trail Blazers, who hit the road to take on some Eastern Conference teams. They went 3-1, a narrow defeat in Brooklyn being the only loss as they improve to .500. The highlight perhaps of the season so far was the 29 point rout of the Celtics in Boston. The Blazers close the first full month of the season with a respectable 8-8 record.

Nets Hold On Despite Big Games From Aldridge, Lillard
11/25/12 - Blazers 80 @ Nets 82

The Nets started the game off very strong with a dominant first quarter. That was the status quo until the fourth when the Blazers played lockdown D and made a run. However, Deron Williams hit a couple key shots and Brooklyn held on.

POR 24 15 14 23 | 80 [5-8] - Lillard: 19/3/8; Aldridge: 20/10, 10-15 FG
BKN 32 20 16 14 | 82 [8-5] - D. Williams: 15/3/10, 6-18 FG; Humphries: 12/8/1

Blazers Execute Late, Defeat Pistons
11/26/12 - Blazers 83 @ Pistons 79

Led by Nicolas Batum's 22 points, the Blazers hung with the Pistons in a grind-it-out affair on the second game of Portland's 6 game Eastern Conference road trip. It ultimately came down to a closely contested fourth quarter that saw the Blazers prevail.

POR 20 19 23 21 | 83 [6-8] - Batum: 22/6/2; Lillard: 18/2/5
DET 20 22 20 17 | 79 [7-8] - Monroe: 17/8/3; Knight: 16/4/4

Batum, Blazers Dominate Wizards
11/28/12 - Blazers 114 @ Wizards 98

"I wish we could play the Wizards every night" - J.J. Hickson, who shook off ongoing trade rumors to have a season high 21 points on 9-16 shooting in the Blazers' blowout win in Washington. John Wall was the sole diamond in the rough for the Wizards, who were completely dominated by the Blazers.

POR 32 22 29 31 | 114 [7-8] - Batum: 31/8/2 stls, 11-18 FG; Aldridge: 16/14/2
WAS 31 18 29 20 | 98 [5-8] - Wall: 19/0/12. 7-10 FG; Nene: 15/9/4

Celtics Humiliated On Their Home Floor
Blazers 102 @ Celtics 71

Image

November 30, 2012 - The Celtics season has gotten off to a disappointing start, and with this game, it may be time to panic. After putting up a fight in the first quarter, the Celtics completely shat the bed the rest of the way, scoring just 8 points in the third quarter and offering porous defense.

Wesley Matthews and LaMarcus Aldridge had huge games as the fans trickled out of the building early in the fourth. With the win, Portland improves to 8-8 on the season, with an impressive 5-4 record on the road.

The Blazers now sit in ninth place in the Western Conference, but just a half game out of a tie for sixth. Boston meanwhile falls to 11th in the East, but also just a half game out of the playoff picture.

POR 27 35 22 18 | 102 [8-8] - Matthews: 25/7/1, 8-10 FG; Aldridge: 24/2/2 blks, 11-15 FG
BOS 26 20 8 17 | 71 [7-9] - Pierce: 19/1/3 TO's 8-14 FG; Bradley: 13/4/3

Monthly recap up next with full standings, player averages, and probably some other stuff.
