Talk about NBA Live 08 here.

There's no slider that controls alley-oops. The short answer is, if you want a more realistic performance look at getting another version because NBA Live 08 PC probably has the most issues of any game in the series.

NBA Live 08 Xbox 360...superstar difficulty @ 7/8 minute quarters.
Right now it's entirely too easy and unrealistic, as I'm blowing out teams by 20+ every game and I want it harder or at least closer so I can have some realism.
Right now I'm using the default sliders for superstar I guess?

Try dropping the User shooting sliders while increasing the shooting sliders for the CPU, as well as increasing the CPU's steal and interception sliders. That will force you to take better care of the ball while making it more difficult to score, at the same time giving the CPU a bit of an edge offensively.

Tried working the sliders like you said for about 3 games so far, I actually lost one to the Mavs 97-94
Which is good..haha

Glad to hear they're having the desired effect. You might want to keep tweaking them so that the CPU has more of an advantage if you find the game getting too easy again.

True, but there is no slider for alley-oops (either frequency or success) and I wasn't just talking about issues with alley-oops in NBA Live 08 PC.

Okay i haven't played NBA Live for a long time but now because we have the awsome NBA Live 09 Mod for NBA Live 08 and because of Playoff Time i'm playing again. I'm adjusting sliders, so maybe someone can help with some questions:
- My teammates gets too many offensive rebounds, but i want the opponent team to get more offensive rebound. So if i set CPU Off Rebounds sliders up, does it influence also the ability of my teammates to get off. rebounds? It's a dilemma, because my teammates from CPU controlled are too strong at the boards and the opponent CPU is too weak at the boards.
- The CPU commits too many turnovers. How can i decrease their Turnovers with the sliders?
- The AI of the CPU subs is horrible. Sometimes the star player sits half of the gametime on the bench. If i set the Substitute frequence to the very left, does it mean the substitute players get less time or that if he subs the star player out, he sits long time out, because the CPU doesn't sub frequently?

- The CPU sliders are for the CPU controlled team only. Your players are still affected by the User slider settings.
- Where are the CPU's turnovers coming from? If it's from intercepted passes for example, decrease the User interception slider so that you'll have a harder time picking off passes, resulting in fewer turnovers for the CPU.
- The latter; the CPU won't sub as frequently.

Yes, I'm Australian. I don't have any plans to make any Australian rosters though, and I don't make face patches.
