Son of a bitch! Not my week for MMA. Forrest lost, Kenflo lost and now Miguel Torres lost. :x

Forrest didn't lose, he got humiliated  that was hard to watch. Well, not for me because I like Silva but still, hard to watch. George Sotiropolous was awesome against Roop too.

Yeah, that was embarassing. The walkout was worse. Finding it hard to be a Forrest fan after that.

Apparently his jaw got dislocated and he couldn't hear out of one ear. Still, pretty lame thing to do.

The question is if Silva will remain in light heavy division. If he does, it'll be inevitable to avoid fighting Lyoto Machida whom Silva already stated will never fight. Besides, it'd be just not as much fun since those guys are great friends almost like brothers, like Nogueiras or Williams in Tennis. But another problem UFC facing is that there is no quality opponent in middle weight waiting for Silva, so Dana wants him to remain in heavy light.

Not being able to sign Fedor was a great loss, but losing Gegard Musashi to Strikeforce also was a devastating one. Musashi seems like a rising star for the Strikeforce. Those big names should keep Strikeforce alive and give Dana White some headaches.

By the way, Cro Cop is back, and I think he's fighting in next UFC event.

I love that strikeforce is getting some quality. Monopolies aren't good.

I read somewhere that Silva is more open to fighting Lyoto now.

It's spelled Mousasi.

Cro Cop won't be fighting until September. UFC 103 against Junior Dos Santos. Seems like an interesting matchup. Dos Santos did have that nice KO on Werdum.

After winning the fight against Forrest, I read in some Yahoo article that Silva wants to stay in the light heavyweight div. and even told White about it.

Seems like Brock will fight Carwin. This should be entertaining since their size is similar and both were NCAA wrestling champs. Carwin is undefeated so far, so I think Lesner can be defeated this time, if he can't overpower him.

That news is a little bit old actually. Carwin's wrestling pedigree is not in Brock's calibre though. As well as the size. But, I'll be rooting for Carwin on this one. I've been a fan of his ever since I saw Christian Wellisch's mouthguard fly right out of his mouth in Carwin's debut.

I can't pick one to root for in that fight. As long as they end up beating the shit out of each other, I'll be happy.

Carwin's just a smaller worse version of Brock... with bigger hands. He looked pretty average against that fat English guy but otherwise he's been good. I'm definitely looking forward to that fight, I can't see Carwin winning though. He's basically fought nobodies except for Gonzaga. I wish they'd stuck with Carwin v Velasquez first though, I really want to see that fight... I'm guessing the potential match-ups will look something like this...

Lesnar v Carwin
Winner v Velasquez
Winner of Dos Santos/Cro Cop v winner of Nogueira/Cane
Winner v Champion

Or maybe Nogueira/Cane just gets a shot at whoever wins the Lesnar/Carwin v Velasquez fight.

Nog vs Velasquez? What about Couture?

Nogueira beat Couture, Velasquez is being lined up as the #1 contender after Carwin... I'd imagine Nogueira gets a shot at the champion before Couture does.

Edit: Shit, got Nogueira/Cane confused... it's little Nog not big one... still, I think big Nog would be in line for a shot before Couture.

What the hell. We must be getting amnesia. Totally forgot that Nog vs Couture was UFC102. I'm still thinking that was gonna be on UFC 103 next week. (Haven't been feeling so good today)

You're talking about Luiz Cane? I thought you just mispelled Cain Velasquez's name. Cane and Lil Nog are on 205. Not the same Division. Even before UFC 102 happened, I agree that Nog deserves a shot over Randy.

Yeah so now I'm thinking (having realized the Lil Nog/Big Nog problem.. really, who the fuck names both of their kids Antonio) (Big) Nogueira might get a shot either at the winner of Dos Santos v Cro Cop or Velasquez v Champion

Yeah, that's pretty much the situation. Hope Nog gets a title shot. He just wasn't himself against Mir.

Anyone watch Fight Night and TUF?

Pretty good fights tonight, especially Quarry and Creduer. Dude on TUF had the worst cut I've ever seen. The doctor said he could see bone.

Will be downloading them later when I get home. Will try to follow this season's TUF. Haven't been interested in TUF since Season 2. Come to think of it. I don't think I really followed season 2 that much.

I saw TUF first episode. It was pretty cool. Lot's of trash talking between Rashad and Rampage. Having Kimbo on there is a great move by Dana. And the first fight was bloody as hell. Something about seeing a man bigger than yourself get the shit beat out of.
I have fight night, but am watching football at the moment.

I think that was the 3rd worst cut I've ever seen in MMA next to Marvin Eastman's and Fedor's.
