Downloading and using shoe patches! HELP!!!

Postby HoopJunkie on Thu Jun 04, 2009 11:06 am

So I am yet to get my game in the mail yet but I have been goin thru all the topics and posts trying to find out whether or not when i download a shoe patch how i will be able to assign the shoes to the players. Do I have to do the whole hidden shoe thing? How do I know which shoes are which, e.g. Kobe IV, Air Zoom Soldier III, etc. Just needing some step by step help so i wont be so behind when i get the game.

To clarify: Say i already downloaded the patch and i start the game. I go to the edit player section and i go to the shoes. Can I jus cycle through the shoes that the patch provides? of course this would be nice and easy...

Welcome to NBA-live forum.

I would like to know the link of what you downloaded...so I can teach you step by step. Free of charge. :D

To answer your question. I will provide you the LIST of the files that will enable you to determine which shoes is Kobe's, Lebron's etc.
And yes, you can make use of "shoes section" in Nba 2k9...in case you wanted to choose another shoes for your player.

by the way, the Matching Hidden Shoes is what I'm still learning. Do the basics first and I believe thats what you need. :cheeky:

You're welcome.

No, there is no program needed to use those shoes. Its a "copy and paste" action only. But you have to know which of the "downloaded files" be copied.... and where they must be pasted to.

However, you need a software to "extract" the files you downloaded. Worry no more coz I'll help you on this. See my tutorial on my next reply.

Ok. I have WinRAR on my computer. I downloaded it because i knew that patching would have to do with downloading and extracting files. So I jus would need to know which shoes are which in the files then?

The ones I mentioned above have accurate numbers of the shoes of players in the playoffs.

However, yes, it will be very helpful to know which files are the "shoes of kobe" or the "shoes of lebron's"...because some "shoe patchers" do not provide the "correct" number on the shoes they made.

Example:
Kobe's shoes are "shoe_300_00.iff" for home.....add 09...."shoe_300_09.iff" for away shoes.
Lebron's shoes are "shoe_506_06.iff" for home.....add 09 ...."shoe_506_14.iff" for away shoes.

This will help you know which shoe is corresponds which player....

After you have downloaded and extracted the "Real Shoes 6[1].0 Playoffs Edition.rar" above:
1. open "Real Shoes 6[1].0 Playoffs Edition" folder
2. open Excel file "鞋补对应" file
3. Scroll down and explore.....

...and you will see the which player shoe corresponds your player. "506 00" means "shoe_506_00.iff"
