Hi, i have some questions and dont have the time to read the whole thread..
1. Why does Kobe have dunk rating 99 and Lebron 81? Doesnt make sense to me
2. Why does Kobe and some other players have somebody elses shot animation?
3. Do I have to load the settings file? Its a pain in the ass to set everything back the way it was.. What do I lose without settings file?
4. What are the differences between this and Albys pack and which do you think is better and why?

I think thats because the dunk rating determines which level of dunks within a dunk package would be performed. There are quite a number of dunks in Lebron's package that should never been seen in an actual NBA game. That being said, I've lowered Kobe's dunk rating to 85 and also his dunk tendency, while he still can dunk on 2-3 people when he wants to, he hasn't really dunk a lot this season and got much less hoop when he does.

Because juza thinks it is the closest animation for Kobe's style.

3. Do I have to load the settings file? Its a pain in the ass to set everything back the way it was.. What do I lose without settings file?

Then just save your default settings. If you don't like the new settings then just load the default one.

4. What are the differences between this and Albys pack and which do you think is better and why?

Try both and find out for yourself.

Do these sliders and settings work with other custom rosters?

How do I stop these mid-range jumpers from going in? I think i have contested the shot pretty well, but these shots just keep falling and falling. Which slider can help stop those shots from going in all the time?

No, neither of those pics show a properly contested shot. Practice more D.

You can decrease the mid shot success slider for cpu

Not bad, but Hinrich can still shoot it if he delays the release or he was still going up and the defender was going down after reaching the peak of his jump, in that pic.

Maybe these will help you. Videos by ZihinMaster. It's a three-part video on contesting shots.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

He has other tutorial videos for 2K9, you can find it in his YouTube page.

Thanks again for the videos. I think I have learned the tricks to good defense on the perimeter but I think it is hard to do the contest shot (disturb) via keyboard (i have to press one key for lock down d and another for the shading, by that time the shot is already up, this usually happens when I come off screen and it is hard to switch). I noticed that on fast-break, CPU can always get to the rim quickly, I cannot even catch up to the guy breaking away. I don't even have time to try stealing the ball or block. When I try to attack the rim on fast-break, the defense always get back in front of me.

You don't even have to use shading or hold the lockdown button. You can just tap the lockdown button as you are near the offensive player as he shoots. It will automatically start a contest shot animation (a skip with one hand raised, two hands raised if there is body contact, etc.)

too bad juza and kris gave up on this game... because 2k10 is still a long way from us... i think this game deserves more roster updates before it's retired...

No rating edits, STEVE NASH DUNK! This happened in a association game, I hit turbo on fastbreak with Steve Nash and I jumped out of my seat when Nash went up and dunked the ball.

Thanks for the heads up. But it's a pretty easy thing to correct. You can do it yourself.

i would also like to know this

i haven't played much games with the suns so i cannot tell is this hapening to me, but in few games i played (quick game) it didn't happen...

i guess juza made a mistake or he just missed that small error with "nash can dunk".

I see that juza set Nash and most other point guard's dunk rating at 59 instead of the default 50, maybe that is why he dunked. 59 is at the same rating as Jason Kidd, but he could actually dunk though. I guess juza did make a mistake setting Nash's dunk rating at 59.
