It’s close but it is still so far

This week produced some very exciting games for the Brooklyn Ballers, some are good and some are bad.

First game was against the Atlanta Hawks, where the story starts in the final quarter where Jamaal Crawford got injured after a hard foul by Yi Jianlian. The Hawks rally in the final quarter and outscored the Ballers 30 to 15 to win the game 97-90. Joe Johnson scored 27 points while Josh Smith had a double double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Crawford is estimated to be out for 4-6 weeks.

Next game was against the Boston Celtics, it looks like the Ballers are going to suffer the same result as the last game. The Celtics rally back from a 14 point deficit to lead by one point with only 8 seconds left. The Ballers ran an isolation play for Wesley Matthews but he can’t elude the Celtics defenders he finds Tony Douglas who shot a threepointer, the ball bounce two times before going in as the Ballers won 88-86. Douglas had 11 points and 9 assists while Adam Morrison led his team with 22 points.

Last was against the Philadelphia 76ers, the game went to overtime thanks to a jumper by Jrue Holiday. The game finish in the final seconds of overtime, the Ballers are down by one point with only 10 seconds left. The Ballers inbound the ball when Andre Iguodala suddenly intercept the pass and rush through a break away dunk to seal the game. Iggy had 25 points and 3 steals, Holiday added 23 points while Yi had a double double with 23 and 14 and Douglas added 23 points off the bench.

The Ballers had three close games and we all saw that they collapsed in the final moments, in order to be a good team in the league they need to learn how to close out games.

Injuries

A lot of injuries had happened early in the season and even the great ones can't avoid the injury bug.

Kobe Bryant will be greatly missed by the Lakers because he will be out 2-4 weeks with a broken hand. While Lebron James will missed 1-2 weeks because of a foot injury.

J.J Redick of the Orlando Magic and Andrea Bargnani of the Toronto Raptors both suffered torn MCL and will be out the rest of the season.

Trade Rumors

Deng leaving the Bulls?
Early in the season the Bulls rejected a trade offer of Kings to trade Luol Deng, but now other teams have an eye for the forward. Denver, Philadelphia and Houston all has desire to get Deng but the front runner is the Rockets who is willing to give defensive specialist Shane Battier.
No one likes Arenas
The star and controversial guard has been openly shopping by Washington, they are now open with negotiations with Indiana, Denver and Houston. As of now the said teams did not consider any offer for Arenas.

Around the League

Lakers goes for 7th straight win without Bryant
Even without their leader Kobe Bryant the LA Lakers managed to win their 7th straight win thanks to a dominating performance of Andrew Bynum against the Houston Rockets.
Ballers received ridiculous offers for Teague
Jeff Teague might not be playing a lot of minutes but his upside surely attract many teams. Including the Trailblazers and Pacers, the Brooklyn Ballers are still weighing their options whether to trade the young guard.

Why is that in every dynasty and association I'm seeing lately Phoenix self destructs itself with trades???

 Raptors are winning under 10 games this season. That's it. I called it.

Holy shit definitely take Marcus Camby and Nic Batum for Teague!!! That's ridiculous!

z02, Maybe they are trying to rebuild, currently they are one of the worst team in my association.

Whatever I take I'm a winner, maybe I'm going give them a couple more to make it even.

Are we even trying?

This is certainly a week to forget for the Brooklyn Ballers, this win includes an escape win and two terrible games.

The first game was against the Portland Trailblazers, the Blazers mad a strong run in the second quarter to led going to the break. But with a good defense the Ballers managed to hang on to win the game 80-78 despite having 19 turnovers. Brandon Roy led his team with 23 points who didn’t get any help from his teammates.

Second game was against the New York Knicks and the Knicks surprisingly played great defense on their way for an easy win 108-63. Bill Walker had a game high 19 points while only Yi Jianlian record double figures in his team with 14 points.

The next game was against the new look Oklahoma City Thunders, without their star Kevin Durant the Thunders rely on Russell Westbrook. Westbrook had 21 points and 9 assists he also had 4 steal as he lead his team to win the game. Newly acquired Grant Hill had 15 points and 5 steals. The Ballers had 22 turnovers in this game.

Last was against the Charlotte Bobcats, where the Bobcats gave the Ballers their third straight loss. Again the turnovers was the key, the Ballers had 24 turnovers. Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson each had 18 points in the game.

The Ballers ain't even trying to improve their decision making, they still commits a lot of turnovers and that must stop if they want to be a successful team.

Fluke?

After a disappointing performance last week the Brooklyn Ballers surprisingly bounce back and had great games this week.

First game was against the Boston Celtics, without their playmaker Rajon Rondo the Celtics offense take a huge hit as they were only held to 66 points by the Ballers. The Ballers bench mostly takes over the game as they outscored the Celtics bench 50 to 2, leading the way is Corey Brewer who had 21 points while Hakim Warrick had a double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Paul Pierce scored 25 points for his team.

Next was against the Atlanta Hawks, where the Ballers hot shooting led to their second straight win. Yi Jianlian led the Ballers with his career high 34 points. Joe Johnson also had a great game with 37 points.

And the last game was against the Dallas Mavericks, the Mavs rally in the fourth quarter to snap the Ballers mini winning streak. The Mavs outscored the Ballers 31 to 22 in the final quarter. Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd each had a double double for their team.

Some tough losses. Your presentation is still unique and I like. Good prospect scouting. Monroe could be just what you need.

KidJustin, I really got the hang of this team, and the fact that I hate losing to the Celtics made me play much better :P

hova-, What made this unique? I got the style from Martti,Lamrock and Clutch.

Well a mixture can be unique, too. The pics with the border around it, the graphical part with the headlines in different fonts, and just a bit of text. The color scheme is also looking good.
