The first game is just a warmup game, so it does not hurt the Clippers that much even though they loss to the Knicks. But still, I like your recap, it does not look that bad overall. I think you should also show some Knicks highlight pics as to make it better.

Good first recap, What are your settings like Q length?? I CBF going back to the first page :P

Your team didnt have many assists though, and what happend to Livingston?

Thu Sep 29, 2005 5:34 pm

Its a good recap Devin! And you got pretty good pics too! Keep it up!

Thanks Sit and Mark.

6 min quarters for preseason. I need to practice shooting with Mobley more, his stroke is a little strange for me. He doesn't jump much on it so I'm messing up with the timing. I'm still working out some controller problems right now, so I wasn't able to get Brand's game going as much as I wanted. That's why the low amount of asists.

On PS2 Livy averaged 10+ dimes for me :) I'll work out all the kincks by regular season...I HOPE!

good to see Livingston doing well....honestly, how long do you think you can keep him out of the starting lineup?

Thu Sep 29, 2005 8:15 pm

PRESEASON GAME 2

Image

Image

1st Quarter:
The Clippers mixed things up a bit for this game, they started the game with Motumbo instead of Kaman in an attempt to contain the Bulls big men. Clippers wanted to focus on defense a bit more in this game and figure out a set rotation and individual playing time. Still the young Bulls big men really brought their "A" games in the 1st quarter good enough for a 5 point lead by the end of the quarter.
Bulls Chandler draws first blood
Not to be outdone, Maggette counters

2nd Quarter:
Sam Cassell came into the game and really gave the Clippers a spark off the bench, igniting both Maggette and Brand. Maggette was able to get to the rim and score almost at will. Once again, Chandler was tough to contain and keep off the boards. Air Gordon and Hinrich complimented Chandler on the outside, making some key threes. Clippers down by 9.

3rd quarter:
Clippers started Eddie Griffin along side Brand this quarter and what a difference it made! The Clippers big men final contained Curry and Chandler long enough for Mobley and Maggette and pick up the pace. It was totally back and forth in this quarter and until Griffin made some key stops that lead to some easy fastbreak points for Maggette. Clippers down by 5.
Griffin, "who's yo daddy?!?"
Maggette catching air

4th quarter:
The Clippers countinued to apply pressure and did a good of playing man to man defense, not allowing any easy points any where on the court. You could tell the Clippers wanted this one bad, they kept battling under the offensive boards, playing the passing lanes, and going for loose balls, everything they could to get an advantage. The combination of Maggette and Livingston on the defensive end, managed to get a couple of steals leading to fastbreak opportunities. One of which lead to a quick 3 point attempt by Mobley which he missed, but Maggette was able to put it back for 2. That got the Clippers the lead, finally, for the first time in the game. Curry attempted a comeback, but it was all for naught, because this night the Clippers hit their freethrows and sealed the win.

Maggette's putback puts Clippers up for good

Stats:
Clippers
Bulls

Highpoints: The bench came in and not only did their job as reserves but provided both firepower as well as defense. Clippers did a better job at the line and attacked the rim a lot more. The player rotation was better this game, as it looks like Coach Dunleavy has figured out how to use his new players.

Lowpoints: The starting center role is still up in the air. Kaman's defense is poor and it doesn't look like his potential is as abundant as it first appeared. Clippers don't need is offense as much as they could use more shot blocking and boards. Livingston hasn't been able to run the offense the way he'd like to, he's still getting used to his new teammates and it'll take time for him to figure out how to set up each player.

Key play of the game: Maggette's put back in the fourth quarter giving the Clippers the lead. They never looked back after that.

Still holding off on some tricks until the regular season. This is pretty much a complete rip of JUG's presentation style. I added a few things at the end which I kinda like.

Once again, no box scores because this game though supposed to be preseason was played in exhibition mode.

V-Cast might make it's debute in the next game and the Adidas game is coming up in the very near future.

X, I don't quite have hang of the offense yet, but once I do, Livy's gonna average no less then 10 dimes a game (Y)

Isaiah, yes sir I'm running it on max

Brad, thanks for the support man. Right now I want a solid format to cover the game, I think I did a pretty good job this time around. Once the season starts, then in will come my TRICKS OF THE TRADE!

Thu Sep 29, 2005 11:05 pm

That's a much better form of recap especially with the high and low points, that's a great way to give detail... and the pictures at the end of each quarter is nice too...

I enjoy reading highpoints and lowpoints part of your recap, I think they are pretty well done, and the recap is well done in general. This is shaping up to be a quality dynasty. (Y)

Fri Sep 30, 2005 9:44 am

Good recap. Once you get the hang of the game...we'll be seeing much more devestating offense from the club (Y) good idea on the canon power shot. (Y)

Fri Sep 30, 2005 11:38 am

Congrats on your first win in your Clippers dynasty. Your second recap really improved alot, especially where you put the pics that belongs to that quarter. I like your Canon poweshot, it looks cool. Keep it up. (Y)

Sat Oct 01, 2005 7:21 pm

Hey guys, an update is coming in the next few days. I'm still trying to figure out how to install my new jerseys as an ADD on and not replace exsisting ones, this is proving to be a little hard. IF anyone can give me step by step advice through a PM it would greatly be appreciated, maybe I can offer some work with graphics in exchange.

Right now I'm practicing the offensive plays, they're really cool. I'm going through each one and it's been hella fun.

I've added Singleton and McCarty, I really like McCarty.

Adidas game will happen as soon as I figure out how to add jerseys. I have the picture file, I need someone to show me how to add them. Plus the numbers make it complicated.

I'll try to resize the pics too Mark, thanks for letting me know. (Y)
