Just wondering, The X, if you have the chance, will you continue this series even after the new NBA Live 07 comes out? Or will you move on to the next series and start a new dynasty?

I know. I'm asking, if you're still playing by then, will you continue playing, or will you start a new dynasty with NBA Live 07. That's my question.

...from the Chronicles of the 2006 Birdie Project:(info)

The X's Portland 2005-06 mid-season Birdie Breakdown:
Image
The X has had many Team MVPs through out his Dynasty submissions However, this is the first entry where the Team MVP was a runaway candidate such as Zach Randolph...he earns this honor with a weighted Birdie efficiency score of 22.09 - and his 'reversible' LiveCard is now enabled.

For the X, the first entry is always the hardest:
This Dynasty instance is currently ranked #24 on the Official 2006 Birdie Board
(and NO penalties!)

Image
(view entire list here)

The qualifers:
Z. Randolph 21.3 ppg (ranks 7th)
Z. Randolph 11 rpg (ranks 3rd)
S. Telfair 1.8 spg (ranks 8th)
Z. Randolph 0.498 field goal% (ranks 10th)
J. Przybilla 1.53 bpg (ranks 9th)
S. Telfair 6.8 apg (ranks 7th)

Complete 'Birdie Breakdown' coverage AND to see Randolph 's' reversible' Live Card clickhere.
(but give the X and me a few days here.)

The X: Awesome! You're finally on the board! I'll be waiting patiently for your Screenshot. Have you seen my headshot thread at: http://www.nbaliveforums.com/ftopic32374.php to improve the Live Card appeal? Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a head shot contribution for Zach Randolph. If you know some artsy person who can do one up for us, that'd rock... if not, we'll have to revert back to the 2005 version(yechhhhhhh) Keep up with the Dynasty and thanks again for all your support!

honestly, I couldn't really answer that one right now....will have to see how it goes....I wanted to continue my Bobcats Live '05 in a simmed format, but dbf troubles halted that idea....it really depends on the quality of Live '07 and a few other factors, but if it is still going then, I would most likely keep it running in some format....ask me closer to the date

the wins will come in time....as will the team's development....

usually that doesn't come until the new guys come in....let's see....

Viktor "Kryponite" Khryapa

that's all for today on nicknames....I'm open to suggestions

you're definitely right about a few things there Honor....firstly, Zach being a runaway MVP....secondly, my 1st pstats submission is always horrible....let's hope for better by season's end....will try to get you pic for livecard today....and one last thing, you didn't mention that I had no penalties once again

it probably just means that those guys haven't really played at all, and if they have then it's likely in the last minute of a game in garbage time, and they are chucking up ill-advised 3's which lower their birdie scores

What do you mean? I see it there loud and clear

...which is actually something, I've been meaning to add to my shout-out program whenever a Dynasty makes it 'out' without penalties. It's actually quite the accomplishment because Dynasties in general tend to have slightly inflated stats...

AND actually HA has yet to play this season! That's why he's at 0.00. And his teammates under him? Well...Sometimes, it's better to bench somebody than to put him on the court...

...believe me, that's how I was my first year with my real-life team... gosh I was absolutely horrible.

I know, I saw it there....would be good to see shout-outs for the dynasties that do avoid penalties....I know it's not just me, but plenty of guys....they may be high on the boards or low (like me for now)....

and yep, Ha has been doing well in his suit on the end of the bench.....

next submission will be better than last....was the same in Bobcats' dynasty, started at bottom and moved up to middle of the pack

I'm happy with 24th considering the team I'm using....I'm never going to ever get close to #1....don't forget that I sim about 3/4 of my games (when you include intervention etc) and the stats you get in simmed games are never as good as human games

you had no penalties, so I'll give you your props

yep, if the team was in the top 5 or 6 in the league instead of the bottom 5 or 6, then Randolph would definitely be in the hunt for MVP  ahh well, I believe in your prediction that I will win NBA Finals next season

as for Randolph, you would have to think he has a strong case for an All-Star berth, although with the team's record, he could be snubbed :(

wankster wrote:Im just wondering...what does birdie means?

check the following link, it should explain everything....
http://www.nbaliveforums.com/ftopic30611.php

the fallacy of the Birdie Score is that it doesn't factor in how well you contain your opponents (ie. opponents' scoring, FG%, 3Pt%, FT% etc) or the level of difficulty, quarter length (penalties can help with this) and slider levels that each player plays with....it's more of a general tool....still very good and useful nonetheless :P

keepnitgangsta1 wrote:good job havin a good score on birdie board

the thing is that it wasn't a good birdie score....it's actually pretty bad :(
