Help installing & using patches

Ok so i am completely new to patches and i know nothing about how to use them and i have a list of patches that i would like to use. so if someone could help me that would be great because i just want to enjoy the best game ever made. thanks alot.

well all the iff files like cf's, arenas, jerseys, start-ups will need to go to your nba 2k9 folder you just need to overwrite your files to make changes in the game
for roster updates,gameplay updates and other stuff like settings and game sliders you will need to search in your C: drive for Application data and store the files in your
C:Documents and Settings Your Computers account name Application Data 2K Sports NBA 2K9 Saves
and when you open your nba 2k9 you just need to load the files for the roster updates,gameplay updates and other stuff like settings and game sliders
