Resigning players

Postby AreaOfEffect on Sat Apr 25, 2009 12:15 am

Im in the 3rd year of my association. the star player of my team doesnt want to resign in my team anymore, he says that he want to try the free agent. so i try to sign him in the free agent but he keeps rejecting my offers :( is there a way to force him to resign in my team? cause i really want him in my team. i also notice that his loyalty is "not loyal" how can i edit that? tnxtnx

You can't force him to re-sign, but you can force a trade with the team he signs with if you choose. You'll have to turn "Trade Override" on.

I hope you still wanted your question answered.

Haha. You can actually force him to resign. I do this to some players so the power balance doesn't change a lot. Open the player using Hades Editor, then put some values in the contract year 1, year 2, etc. Make it realistic okay. Then save. Open association. Open the player, then without doing anything, exit out of the player and save the changes. When you exit the window, you will see that instead of expired, you have now resigned him. You have to do this during the Re-sign period. If he is already in the FA pool the trade thing Hedonist said is your best bet.

I do this mostly with other teams. I'm using knicks but I did this for the magic. I.E. Dwight always refuses to re-sign with the magic so I force-sign him. Plus, Dwight doesn't look good in a celtics uniform.

thanks for the tips. but i already found the solution long ago. what i did is that i use hades editor, and reduce all of my players salary, so i would have a high salary cap and i can sign the player i want for higher salary. :D
