I got nba2k9 for 360 and recently ordered it for PC cause i see how you can edit the game to make it more real...my question is how do you guys mod the game? Do i need to download anything? Is it hard? Is there a website that shows me step by step how to do it?
And what patches do you guys recommend for someone just getting the game??

Check out everything in the Release section
viewforum.php?f=94! The key mod you must get is Albys roster for realistic game play, other then that anything thing else is not really necessary.
Courts are modable, jerseys, cyberfaces, and i think that's it for now.

The better question as a newbie would be knowing how to use the modified files around here. If you learn how to do that, you will be accustomed to know the "terms" used in this forum. Do you know what softwares you need to use the file here and how to use them?

Nah, thats what I'm trying to figure out, is what software to download and how to use it

You need the IFF Editor to edit the jerseys, courts, cyberfaces, balls, shoes, crowd, mascots and cheerleaders attire.
Goodluck. Happy patching.

Hi christian,
Can i have a link on the one you're using tol? Till now, I dont even know how to make a player face.

research and find out how to use tools. What we do is extract the file w/ an IFF editor and edit it w/ Photoshop. If U dont know how to do things w/ PS, you'll have a hard time. But hey, everything's possible ;0]. Good luck

Damn so you got to be a real pro to do stuff like this...i thought you just downloaded a program that would put the patches in the game...
Fri May 29, 2009 5:21 pm
Yes there are lots of patches made by our fellow members. Just download them and put it to your 2k9 folder.
You don't need to be a pro to be able to make some patches, all you have to do is to download the IFF editor and watch the tutorial. Regarding the Photoshop skills, you can google some tutorial to become familiar with the program.

Do i need to know all that photoshop even if i'm not trying to make new patches...all I want to do is download patches from someone who does a good job with them and put them in my game...is that an easy process? Or do i still need to know how to mess with photoshop for that?

adding mods has nothing to do with your photoshop skills,
it's just a simple copy-paste action .
Sat May 30, 2009 6:57 am
ohhh, so all i gotta do is download the patches and copy n paste em into the game? (I still havent gotten the game so I can't really mess around with it yet)
and btw thx to everyone trying to help me out with this
