:( didn't work... only happens with 2k9. I can play mass effect on high with same res and get 65-72 fps, same with last remnant and bioshock ...is a shame, considering i play 2k9 more than any of them. Strange tho, i get 110-125 fps in blacktop 5v5 and in a quickgame, if i turn of AA and put all settings to low except player detail, using same res, only gain 4-6 fps.

I play it on my laptop (2,5 GHz T9300 Dual Core processor, 4 GB RAM and GeForce 8600 512 MB) at 1680 x 1050 with everything maxed out, and it works perfectly. Which DirectX do you have?

That's probably the reason.

Actually no. There is no big difference in most games, but it works for some. I've got DirectX 10 on XP, although I got it from the dealer already installed. Search around the web either for DX 10 for XP or download the latest version of DX 9 from Microsoft. Both could work.
