i really don´t have that much of an idea about what has to be done with this patch but i think "those stupid cfs" are one of the most important and difficult works about this patch... and please keep in mind that everybody here is doing the work in their free time so in a way they are working on it on holidays! but they are doing it for free!!!

Actually, I just realized the ratings of the rookies must be congruent with the actual NBA players. Like if the ratings of Kobe's FG is 90 then Derrick Rose must be like 80 or so. The rating machine will sure be off if you will not try to edit all the ratings of all existing NBA players in that roster [player.dbf].

I would suggest you can choose between the 2 :

1. Overhaul the ratings of the all the NBA players in your roster to comply with the ratings you'll apply with the rookies when using rating machine 2.3/2.1.

or

2. Create a new rating machine that would comply with the existing roster ratings.

I would choose 1, though tedious but I don't know how to create such rating machine program [i have my own rating matrix and 2.3] but if know how to create such program then I can do the math. See I'm a Mechanical Engineer with a little C++ background.

And ofcourse, individual aspects ratings is always important than overall ratings.

Well I'm not using the actual output of the rating machine.... i'm just using it as a base then editing it to fit the rookie rating standards.. We dont want rookies to have 80+ or so overall rating do we? and for sure the way they gonna play on the big game will be quite different to how they played on college.. well.. they are rookies after all.. and about the FG issue.. we can't give rose a FG rating of 80+ or so cuz according to his college stats this year, he only averaged 14.9 ppg so maybe we will have 70+ or so for him.. and Kobe averages 28 to 30+ ppg so i think he deserves a 90+ FG rating... but bro if u have some nice ideas in mind about ratings (your rating matrix maybe far better than mine) and you want to help me, then that would be great.. we really need to make the ratings as close as possible to how they will play!!

I also know C++ and other programming languages but i don't actually know the right equations to make ratings from their stats... Do you??

I would like to help but I'm so caught up with so many rosters now to edit.
PBA Live 08, Ultimate Pinoy, NBA 08 and other roster setup. I wish I could copy each team and just paste it with the roster I want to edit. But it's a nasty "Not Possible". Had to do it manully one-by-one, player by player and cell by cell. Hahaha. . .

Anyway, I would just want to give you an insight on how to edit the rookies ratings.

Goodluck! I'll just get a copy of this patch when it's done. And maybe then I free to edit it and you can released your version 2.
