NBA Live 08 PC Issues (Bug List & Information)

My nba 08 crashes when I try to play online, anyone else eperience this problem? Can the above mentioned bugs can be fixed or do we need to replace our current game?

There is an error in my NBA Live 08. When I call a timeout a bug comes out.

My computer specs:
256 MB RAM
36GB Hard Disk
Dell Computer Latitude D505 Laptop
Windows XP Professional (SP2)
Intel Centrino 1.6 GHZ
Intel GM/GME 82852/82855 Exteme Mobile Graphics 2

hey they might not can help you on this one because u have a laptop and those arent really suppported and as andrew stated in a couple of early posts, people who are expieriencing those crashes is because they DIDNT buy the game. instead got a "bootleg" copy and plus i think min sys requirment is 2.0 or faster u have 1.6.

i've had my game 4 days now and havent seen a crash nowhere online or offline. so those are possibile reasons why u are gettin the crashes.

I'm loving the game so far. I set every graphics to max setting. No crashes or whatsoever.

But I found some problems with subsitutions by CPU. They do make substitutions once in awhile, but one time Chicago kept Joe Smith on the floor with four fouls in the first quarter.

Also Ben Gordon dunks on Lamar Odom and Kobe Bryant...

Moreover, I don't understand why the rookies have such a higher rating.

How do you do the go to moves? what buttons do you use? I am using pc version

Issues / Thoughts so far:

- The game has crashed 3 times already.

- They really didn't change the look of the game much.. menus are basically the same, commentary is totally recycled

- Team ratings really don't make any sense. Boston is in the 70s and atlanta is a 90. Even the legends teams aren't all 99s.. which is just stupid if you ask me.

- When trying to go for a rebound on an opponent's FT, i can't move my man at all

- Still get pushed out of bounds pretty easily

- Wilson chandler is missing from the game

- Played a game with the nuggets and as the third quarter ended.. there was a cut scene with my whole starting lineup leaving the court to go sit down (i had all bench players in that qtr)

- The replays look amazing, especially considering how bad the graphics look otherwise

- The shooting forms look more authentic than the past

My Specs:
- 3.4 GHz Pentium 4
- 2 GB Ram
- 256 MB ATI Radeon X800
- Windows XP Pro SP2
- Logitech Dual Action Gamepad

I honestly don't understand why the PC version continually gets the shaft. My system isn't amazing, but i think it's still pretty up to date and the game looks horrible. Even worse are the bugs, though. I might be investing in a 360 or PS3 if none of these issues get fixed.

I bought nba live 08 for the pc game at a local retailer and experienced no crashes whatsoever when playing an entire game through the dvd. A day later, I was able to download an exe file which allowed me to startup and play the game without the dvd. to my surprise, the game crashed during 3 scenarios: calling a timeout, making a substitution, and worst of all, after the frist quarter of any game. There was a message that said that windows had a problem with the nba exe file. ( Im using windows xp by the way on a 2 year old pc. I decided to put back the original exe file from the dvd and now it works fine.

Im now following the season playing each game on the corresponding playdate. of course, im loading the game from the disc now, but at least there are no crashes anymore. Hmm. whats the game today? oh yea. Dallas vs Houston. lets go!!!

have been playing the game since yesterday and haven't experienced any crashes...with the substitution sliders at 95 and fatigue at HI,only the center and power forward are automatically substituted...also, you have to set the autosubs on, cut scenes to off, auto zoom off everytime you start a new game...for some reason, these settings i mentioned goes back to default every time you exit the game...on the other hand, the gameplay settings, preferences, detail settings, rules, in-game settings are saved to your personal settings after you exit the game, therefore not needing to set it again...

in the three point contest when the computer is shooting

Washington serd preview is wrong although the jersey in game is correct.

also:
in uniform folder you will find toronto 95 kits that, just like last year have not been included in the teamgear database. you will see them by adding these two lines to teamgear:

Andrew, when I update the roster by defaut, then I loss this changes when I start a season and save the game.. after that roster come back by default

There's a major bug with the CPU AI, the PG would pass the ball to their star player at half court and the star player would drive in and score or shoot and score immediately.

There's no set plays, no team play involved in 08, it's just one pass then score... I hope EA will make a patch that will alter the AIACT, any word on this Andrew?

one minor bug the away teams should have black socks to really resemble their true image in real life..

is there a file that needs to be added so that the away teams will have black socks?

yeah, graphic issues hit the top of the list too. andrew, please use your connections at ea sports to fix those graphic and clipping issues and bugs. i get freaked out when i see this and other similar things while playing the game. please make them fix those huge graphic problems.

I dont know have anyone report this issue yet.
I played Season Mode. And no place to choose the configure control beforehand (like in the "play now" from the main menu where you would see a keyboard icon to choose your controls) until enter the game ("play game") and then pause it to adjust it from "settings." This is kinda annoying.

And also i notice the first game on the schedule for the New Jersey Nets is against New York Knicks in the NBA Live 08, but in the real NBA season it is suppose to play against Chicago Bulls.

I am wondering does anyone have the same issue when they play season mode?

and one more thing i came up with this morning.... TRAVELLING! i never get that call, either CPU. for example, when i'm running with the ball and i stop and when i try to continue with moving with that player he won't move. he will stand in the place. in nba live 07 i was able to continue moving and of course i would get a travelling call. why did they move that? it was great. travelling is one of the most frequent calls in basketball. i want that back in nba live 08.
