Luis Scola deserves a higher rating?

Postby lisux07 on Fri Jul 27, 2007 2:51 am

Due to the fact that Luis Scola is "suppose" to be the Houston Rockets' starting PF, I believe he should have a few ratings higher than they presently are in the NLSC patch. For example, his Inside Score is 60 and Chuck Hayes' inside score is 68.... Hayes has very minimum post offense. Can someone make a tweaked version of Andrew's Luis Scola?

Thanks.

Well, I am happy to update the ratings in the roster so they are more accurate so if you have any other suggestions for specific ratings please let me know.

i don't think that scola should have better rating, but he should be starting PF for shure, but we won't be able to find out how will he play until the start of the season (or maybe start of 2008/09 season). there are a lot of players from europe that played like mvp's in euroleague, but after the promotion to nba sucked

anyway i don't see why is it such a big problem if a player has like couple of wrong rating stats, if i don't like something i change it myself. some people think he'll be a starter, some that he wont, it's just a meter of taste

Indeed, it's hard predict how a player's performance in college, minor leagues or foreign leagues will translate into his performance in the NBA and how he'll truly compare to other NBA players when they are his peers but if there are a few ratings that seem off it's an easy enough to fix, so I'm interested in any feedback on them. :)

i'm actually thinking:
c yao ming
pf battier
sf - mcgrady
sg - francis
pg - alston
heck they have six guards.. and a few forwards, problem is you want to play them all but only 12 players can be used out of 15,

when i play with houston i take:
c - yao
pf - mutombo
sf - battier
sg - mcgrady
pg - alston (francis should be better but i don't like him so much)

as regard Scola im my opinion the rating is right, we have to watch the first half season to up the rating.... i don't know if he will be a good nba player, i europe it's very good but NBA it's different..

I reckon Hayes or Scola will probably end up starting at power forward. We'll probably see one of the point guards get traded now that Francis has been brought back into the mix.

this is my houston roster:
C-Yao (who else :D)
PF-Hayes (has an option to leave as a free agent)
SF-Battier (could play as a PF, just the same as marion)
SG-McGrady (the god)
PG-Francis (sad nba story, just as webber could do much better and i like them most in nba)

but rockets have another two great guards, so i think if hayes leave rockets this season, or if scola don't sign with them (tau wants a lot of money for contract pay-out), it's very possible to see battier as a power forward, and maybe alston or james as point guard. if that doesn't work out that way, they'll probably trade one of the guards (alston, because james just returned).

There's been whispers that the Heat are interested in Alston so there's a chance he'll be the one to go. We'll just have to see how that plays out. At this point I'll probably go with either Hayes or Scola at power foward.

heat signed with smush parker, so they don't need any more guards.

Agreed, that rumour is probably dead by now.
