Rebirth idea(for all of you patch masters)

I just played a bit of PES6 on my friends PS2 and there is a very cool feature there - player rebirth. after retirement instead of wastefully deleting the player they reappear in the next year rookie roster. This allows you to see what it would be like to have lets say Dynamo Kiev with Maradona or Real Madrid with Yashin or Pele. I understand that it would be hard to make it work for NBA 07 since the rookies are determined before the end of the season but here is my suggestion:
Take all of the 90s and 80 non playing starts like Bird, MJ, Magic and put them into the first draft roster then the retired players from 06 season go into the 07 rookie roster. And bam you have a self containing rotational system.
If anyone would be willing to take on this project I would be more then happy to help with whatever i can. I'm a complete noob in programming but I'm willing and I have TONS of time this summer. I have a powerful machine that I built myself and I would be willing to do all of the dirty program work with Hex strings or/and testing. Any takers?
P.S. I think using Andrews roster file with updated 80s 90s stars and rookie port is a must.(at his consent of course.)
