6600 would be better. Try and get the GT version. It's the best version for the 6600 series card. Get a 6800 GT or 7900 GS or GT they would be better. GT's are a little more expensive but can be worth it. Do your reseach before buying any video card. Make sure you get a card that has 256 megabytes and a 256 bit interface. That would be the minimum I would look for. Anything else would not be worth it due to how games are starting to have more and more graphics to them.
