I always get outrebounded

Sun Apr 15, 2007 6:17 pm

Only in blowouts do I outrebound the opponent, but only by a few rebounds. I've even made a team with Dwight, KG, Lamar Odom, (some guy), and Shaun Livingston and I'm still getting out rebounded. ?

The trick is to get into good position for the rebound and box out. You won't be able to grab many rebounds if you're caught up right underneath the basket, especially since NBA Live 07 features more long rebounds than in previous games. Boxing out was easier when it was assigned to a shoulder button rather than the right analog but it's still possible. Beyond that, it's simply a matter of timing; jump too early or too late and you'll get beaten on the boards.

Is there a button to box out for rebounds?

Do like me I have Houston Rockets only kept Mao Ying and the rest are created players
nobody outrebounds us!

As already stated.. its all about position. I've had situations where TJ Ford has 2 or 3 Offensive boards on the same possesion :P

The game is pretty stupid about rebounds.. I mean very stupid. Here are some examples:

1. Your player shoots a jump shot and automatically turns around to go back down court. There is NO 'follow your shot' AI in this game

2. You jump for a rebound and depending on rebound settings it goes right through your hands as if you weren't even there.

3. You jump for a rebound and it jumps BACKWARDS or SIDEWAYS in a completely stupid and physically impossible direction. A lot of the time its even away from the ball.

4. For no reason your player simply can't jump very high.

There's more but rebounding is just stupid in this game you have to accept it and do your best to go around it.

It's the same on a PC gamepad. I'm not sure about the appropriate keyboard control, I've only used dual analog gamepads since NBA Live 2003.

I couldn't say, I've been using a dual analog pad since NBA Live 2003 so I'm not that familiar with the keyboard controls or the various control hacks.
