CPU Substitution

Wed Mar 28, 2007 9:45 am

Hello everybody. I am having problems with CPU substitution. I have downloaded the official patch and I use jimmy's newest roster (the one with the fatigue fix). I am running my dynsaty on all-star with 6 minutes quarters and the game speed set at 43. I am still having problems with cpu subs and my guys getting tired. In my last game in my Bobcats dynasty i played the pistons and the only players that subbed in were mcdyse and this other guy i never heard of. Seemed like Webber, RIP Chauncy Billups played the whole entire game.

I am not sure if this is the right spot for this post. I just want to play a realistic game. I'm not sure if I need to lower the game speed or what. I have tried a couple things but can't solve my problem. Any help would be great!

Again, I am sorry if this is the wrong spot for this post.

erm, try increasing the sub slider? And if your still not satisfy with that, manually lower the fatigue in all the players using dbf editor.

Or using the cdbflite try to make a bat file with this line.

"cdbflite.exe" players.dbf /case /filter:ISPLAYABLE=True /field:FATIGUE=FATIGUE+9 /update

That will automatically lower all the players fatigue by 9. Change it to any number you desire. (make sure you back up your dynasty before tweaking the dbf. And no, i will not explain here how to use cdbflite if you dont know.) :P

My sub slider is set all the way to 100. I don't know what to do. I really do not know how to mess with the .bat files or how to lower every players fatigue by 9 or so. Not too famillar with bat files and the like. I just want to play a realistiic game and with the cpu not subbing and my guys not gettign tired its not that fun. In my last game against detroit my five starters played the whole entire game and the only players to sub for the pistons were antonio mcdyse and d. davis and they only played for like 5 min a piiece. i just don't know what to do.

have you tried slider @ 90 or 95? i play 8 mins per quarter and my slider is set to 48 and i dont have problems. Try setting both cpu and user slider to 60 then 90. and check if it makes a difference. If not try playing 8mins per quarter.

o yeah i forgt did you check if your fatique is set to ON?

well these is a forum so it is particularly in general. lets see... you said that 'check if your fatigue is ON' that is why i replied that his guys are getting tired meaning fatigue is on.

Last time i check im asking jonmchugh007. So unless you have been in front of his comp and seen that his fatigue is ON then i dont think you should post that sarcastic comment.

"I am still having problems with cpu subs and my guys getting tired."

Yeah he said that but it could mean alot. Maybe he saw the animation of his guys getting tired? Or he'd seen that he's fatigue bar is empty. If you want to help the guy, do it. But dont reply some sarcastic comment if the question is not for you.

hello. the last game i played, i simmed up to the 4th quareter and played the nets. i was using the bobcats. i installed the newist fatigue fix on the roster, and yes my FATIGUE IS SET AT ON! i think that the fatigue fix in andrews newest roser worked. against the nets the cpu subbed out all 5 guys i believe. the only bad thing was that they took out carter, kidd and jeferson and think ended the game with them on the bench lol. i had to sub my guys too. so i think this fixed the problem. i will get back with you guys on this issue...

also, i am having problem with game lag too. like when playing vs the cpu, the game lags for some reason and gets all slow. it gets choppy and its very frustrating to play like that. i have most of the settings on low. it might be my video card since i have on board motherboard crap but i don't know. has anybody else had this problem?

Howdy. I just played a full game. The first time in a long while. Its the playoffs so I want too. Anyhow, I am the Bobcats and was playing the heat. The Heat only made three subs the whole game. They put in Jason Williams, Alonzo Mourning and somebody else in. Mourning and Williams only played like 5 or so min a piece. Wade, and O'Neil played the entire game. On My team, I was switching guys in and out throught the whole game. Almost everybody got some playing time.

Like I said before, I am running the game with the offical patch, fatigue is on, CPU subs are at 100 and the game speed is at 38. I also ran the latest fatigue fix found in Andrew's roster. If anyboyd can help that would be great.

i have the same problem. I set the fouls to 5 and usually in console version the cpu subs their players when they commit 1 foul on the first quarter. in here none.. cpu sub slider is set to 100 still none, fatigue is also on.

by the way I don't play dynasty just exhibition. will the ea patch work too in exhibition?
game length is 6 mins.

Yes, the official patch should fix the substitution issue in all game modes. However, as stated earlier in the thread Fatigue ratings should also be lowered for best results. Both the NLSC and IRPT updates feature lowered Fatigue ratings for better performance.
