No offence, but I don't know why so many people make cyberfaces when they only detract from EA's job. IMO EA does quite a nice job on cyberfaces, and the only players they tend to "skip over" are rookies and little known players. If anyone is making cyberfaces, they should focus on faces that need upgrades, lke the rookies and lesser known players. If you put your Udonis Haslem cyberface next to the EA default version, I would take EA's in a heartbeat. In fact, you could probably post a preveiw of EA's default and people would say things like "good job, release". Not a knock on you, especially since your new to this, but your essentially wasting your time trying to upgrade an already very good cyberface.

There are probably only a few cyberface makers that make faces worth downloading. Ones that substantially upgrade from EA's version. Guys like King James make great faces for lesser known players - that is something that is needed, not a 7263rd Dwyane Wade or Allen Iverson cyberface.

I hope you don't take this as an insult, because you will get better, but I really suggest you make cyberfaces of people who actually need it. This pretty much goes for every other cyberface maker not named A_Nuke, King James, Utopia, Glen or Courtney.

exactly. you've just stated what i always try to point out. but nobody listens anyway. and calling those "(insert a proper word, because even the rich english language has no proper word for it, but i am reffering to what you call "patches")" patches is simply ridiculous. but what else to expect, when the forum is loaded with underaged self-centered pride hunters. i could distract utopia from the list, as 95% of his patches are only texture updates, with little improvement of the already very good cyberface, made by EA.

What makes it easier to make a more well known player? Ryan has provided everyone with great pics, so why don't you go and make a few cyberfaces of some rookies or less popular players that actually need it? Again, its not a knock on you, everyone else wants to make their own Dwyane Wade or Kobe Bryant cyberface anyway.

And of the patchers in that list, only King James and Glen tend to do players other than the superstars. Glen does superstars, but he does "special editions", such as legends making them look younger. He also does alot of ebo editing and spends alot of time trying to perfect his cyberfaces, not just pump out mediocre after mediocre cyberfaces. I have over 7000 files (Live 2005) in my SGSM and a total of 4 of them are cyberfaces of 'common' players. They are Dwyane Wade, Ben Wallace, Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash. Why? Wade had an awful headshape in 05. Ben Wallace wears his cornrows more than the fro nowadays. Glens Kobe Bryant headhsape and cyberface was a nice improvement on EA's, and finally Steve Nash cut his hair.

The rest of the cyberfaces are players with generic faces or missing faces. Cyberfaces that are actually needed.

A 'patch' is something that modifies and enhances a certain aspect of the game. 99% of cyberfaces being released only do one of those things, and thats modify them. I can not stress enough that if a patch doesn't improve on an already good cyberface, there is no point in it. Want to start out easy? Well if your looking to improve on EA's job, as I said, target the worst faces in the game - rookies and lesser known players.

And UltraNIX, good to see I'm not the only one who thinks this way. (Y)
