Created Players with Heads That Don't Match Body Color

Postby trailrunners on Fri Mar 23, 2007 6:25 am

I've got a custom file with 45 created teams in it. I've renumbered 30 of them 0-29 so I can use them in Season or Playoff mode. I'm getting close to getting them to work there.

However, I've also got almost all the teams with heads that don't match their body colors. So, a lot of dudes running around with white heads, etc. I have cyberfaces for about 1/4 of the players in the file. The cyberfaces work fine when I set the FACEID to -1. The other players FACEID's are set to match their APPEARID. Also, all the players are set to True in ISCREATED in the players.dbf and also they all have their 7 lettered PLAYERPKG i.d. even though they don't all have cyberfaces. If I set everyone to -1 in FACEID, and delete their PLAYERPKG name, then all those players without cyberfaces have pink heads. If I just make all the players -1 in FACEID, and leave their PLAYERPKG i.d. in there, the players mostly have heads that don't match their body color. Also, I can't edit any players in game that have their FACEID set to -1. The game hangs when I try to edit one of these players.

Is there anyway to use a dbf editor to fix all the heads to at least match their body color? In most cases the player has dark skin (and they're supposed to) with a white head.

I've put all the cyberfaces in, and they seem to work just fine when the player corresponds with a FACEID of -1. I may just set everyone at -1 and live with all the players that don't have cyberfaces having stupid white heads. Any ideas about how to fix this would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

For created players, FACEID matches up with a value in faces.dbf. Faces.dbf contains all the CAP data that determines a created player's appearance.

Andrew, thanks a lot for the help. Since there isn't a face.dbf tutorial, do you know what the numbers in FACETYPE correspond to? Also, in RACE what does 0 equal and what does 1 equal?
