default sliders in direct IP games? clutch?

Sat Oct 21, 2006 12:31 pm

can you change it? are there any dbf's that can be edited? It's so hard to make 3 pointers with the default sliders. I can only shoot 20% beyond the arc (and the shooter has no defender) using the default sliders in IP games. I can hardly even shoot with finley who has 80 3pt rating. I'm releasing at the peak of my jump and the release is smooth. It just won't go in. :x

related to the previous question, does fatigue have a very huge impact on shooting? Even if my player is free on the 3 point territory but has only 25% of his stamina, are the chances would be the ball won't go in?

last question.. what is clutch? I only know that when you're a clutch shooter.. you can connect at pressure or when the game is on the line. But maybe I'm wrong because tim duncan has 99 clutch while robert horry has lesser clutch.

You're correct, it just happens that EA assigned them those ratings.

damn.. We've been playing for only 6 minutes per quarter with 70 gamespeed in our office during lunchbreaks. The default shooting and stamina sliders are killing me. My officemate uses phoenix and almost all of them can last the whole game without subbing except for raja bell. While me, using san antonio have a very hard time winning since horry gets tired (almost 90% stamina drained) so easily after 5 mins. ginobili and duncan also get tired after 1 quarter. And there is no fatigue slider! I often wonder why the overall stat of SA and PHX are 92 and 94/95 respectively but it is really a mismatch. PHX is just too strong. at least for me.

I'm beginning to think sorts of stuff like stamina and homecourt affecting the 3point shooting because this year, I'm very poor at shooting 3s!!! :x and phoenix is a very strong team this year. Boris diaw and steve nash are unstoppable. all steve nash has to do is to do some cross overs until he gets to the paint and do a jumpshot. even if there's a defender, it will go in.

Not to mention in direct IP games, you can't turn on the stamina bar. you can only approximate your players' fatigue and they don't show it! they dont even pant. you also can't sub if your opponent is doing the freethrows; you can't press the escape button. you can only sub if he's also to sub his players. oh man! this game is not for direct IP.
