Live 07 not the correct version?!

Could this be possible?

I was looking at the preview (including videos) of Live 07 for Curent Gen. And the gameplay seams bether there. So i star wondering and I'm thinink could all those problems be something absurd like they made a master gold of one early version instead of the final version of Live????
That is ridiculous absurd, but I saw that heppens with a small game firm about 2 years ago here in Brasil, so they "recal" all the people that by the game and trade the early copy for a right one!
It that possible?

Andrew you played an early version can you confirm that the gameplay of that version is the same or bether?

Having played the retail version, it seems like the same game only with more hands-on time (ie enough to play a full game) the sub bug is (painfully) obvious. I don't think an old version has been accidentally shipped, the final version simply shipped with the bugs we're experiencing.

It seems something like that. Those errors are too obvious. I think the testing phase was cut too short and thats why those stupid mistakes.

But the game itself has not evolved much and has general poor quality allso. Since 2003 the progress has been solid, but now I don't find it much better than the previous release.

I think EA thought somethink like that: "ok whe have done much work past few years - now it is time to make some money. Lets fire 80% of our programmers and hire the same amount of sales people. Lets make flashy preview movies and commercials instead of improveing the game."

The bugs were probably there even during the community day... however, the biggest game-breakers (the autosubs problem, injured players still showing up on the floor, etc.) you won't really be able to see in 3 to 5 minute game with limited hands on time.

What is disturbing is for EA to alot such a small amount of time for hands-on impressions... perhaps they knew even then that with longer play time, more of the bugs would be exposed "pre-maturely" and thus affect their sales... naturally gamers like us won't want to buy something that was broken in the first place. A more prudent action I believe would be for them to have delayed release and fix everything up first before going forth. They didn't have to tell us why... they could just say there were critical gameplay issues that needed ironing out.

What they did now is just an act of pure selfishness and greed... and the general lack of response from them bolsters this impression further... shipping a basketball game where the AI doesn't sub players and teams have 6 starters? They must be playing some other-worldly basketball or something over there in EA Canada...
