I already answered this question... 
You are getting the black screen because when you are done editing in Photoshop, you are Importing the image and overwriting a NBA Live 06 .fsh cyberface...
In order to get the blue, you need to overwrite an NBA Live 07 .fsh cyberface...
I can't put it any more simply than that. If you don't get it, I'm sorry, you just don't, and that's that.

I'm at work right now, but your lucky you caught me on a break.
So you copied the entire contents of one of the sweat files, and you pasted it in the selected alpha channel, but it didn't show up? I think I had that happen to me. With both the sweat alpha and the cyberface window with the alpha visible, select all of the sweat alpha and click and drag it on to the cyberface alpha, you may have to line it up, so press "V" for the move tool(black arrow). On the menu click "View" and make sure "Snap" is checked, and center it within the borders. You'll know its centered when it "jumps" into the corners and there is no white around the edges.

Pdub, im not sure if you have tried yet, but I cant edit potrait files from 07 with the NBA Potraits editor (erre: says they are too big) so I did it manually, and know I cant edit the ebo to change the PLYRPKG. Could you tell me a hex editor that would work with 07?

Breakdown about the sweat patch
Faces need to be done individually! Its nothing like Live 06. They changed the files and I don't think the fspec fsh(06 face sweat) files from 06 are used in 07. Maybe they work for generic cyberfaces, but I haven't tested thoroughly enough. Arms and legs work fine for all players, just extract the files into the sgsm directory.
Flite_23, I have never edited a portrait or its ebo. I have no idea why you would need to either. I thought you could just extract a fsh, import a new pic in and change the fsh name if you needed to. There is a free hex editor called xvi or xvii or xvii32 or something. There are many free hex editors. Google "free hex editor" or "freeware hex editor" I use Hex workshop but it has a 30 day trial.

It hasn't.But maybe there is a way to put alphas on 06 cyberface?
