i think it suit you both.......because they are the same lighting patch but in different angle

i got the priviledge to beta test jimmy's lighting (thanks Jimmy ) and i must say it really does live up to the hype... it really is the best lighting i have seen personally...

here's a screen i took, and of course i'm a little biased on who the subject is...



the most noticeble coolness aspect for me is the shine on the bald players head in-game, it is very life-like and you really can see the veins on the players forearms... so as i've said in pm Jimmy, an early congratulations on a job well done...

glen, is that a custom band you made on Jordan's forearm, or one of the standard ones you can select in Edit Player? It looks like the former. So we don't clutter this thread, shoot me a PM.

Although there is a big downside, when playing 5-on-5, the game runs slowly. I'm using a GeForce FX5500 card that I know, can run NBA LIVE 07 smoothly.

Yeah it looks a tad too shiny now, especially on the face.

Jimmy is recommending that we have our brightness around 30 or so. The first three screenshots in that folder have the brightness setting at 32 while the rest have it set at 60. That would explain the extra shine. Also the 'Ballers' Uniforms are 512 while the Heat and Magic jerseys are c0n's 256 work.


For taking good screenshots this lighting can be a little frustrating right now. Sometimes there is just waaaay too much shine while other times when you get just the right angle the names on the back of jerseys seem to disappear. Also the rim and backboard can get shiny at times but thats normal in this years version.

In-game and taking videos though. OOOO weee haha. This lighting is amazing. The way the lighting moves and the shine on the players really does make this game look a lot better. Also the way this lighting interacts with the normal texture of the jerseys is great too. (see screenshots 01 and 16)

So basically my verdict is that this lighting is amazing. I will be using this for now on and I will probably use it as a base for any other lighting that I will be making in the near future (i.e. Street).

Man, Jimmy, you know, i like all your job in NBA Live...but man, this time, your work is simply PERFECT!!!
