i will gladly go out and buy this *good* game. Can you please tell us all which stores stock the PC version?

thanks ;)

3. Joystiq is so biased. everybody knows EA sports games are at least 2 times better than 2k sports games. joystiq will find any excuse whatsoever to bash EA sports.

from the comments on the joystiq article. idiots.

The world is full of sheep. I have a couple of friends that i grew up playing nba live with...and now trying to preach the goodness of nba 2k7 to them is the equivalent of pulling your hairs out. They dont care about anything i say...all they keep saying is that nba live is the best...without even playing nba 2k7 on xbox 360. I plan to have atleast one of them play it on my console and check it out. I had this huge fucking debate with them which ended with me wishing i could knock them out for being such pricks and pursuing a stupid argument.

EDIT:

I've sent out a few forum messages and emails to different sites including G4 and Gamer's Hell...

I'm from the NLSC...and we've written a letter to EA basically condeming them for giving us crap for a video game this year. Here is the letter...

Stories about our efforts have been published on gamepro amoung other places...

It would be great if Gamer's Hell could make atleast a small report on this.

This is the link to our nba live 07 general issues board

..and our website is www.nba-live.com

...thanks in advance.

Very nice, we're all getting publicity. Surely, the more media sources this gets out to, the more people will read, and the more EA will tremble.

Wow. I love you Ben!!!

Wish I could've posted in the petition thread before it was submitted.

Sat Oct 07, 2006 2:06 am

Damn, this is crazy, I didn't know so many sites already published something about our issues... (Y)
Might be naive, but I don't think EA can ignore us now, especially cuz ALL the Live '07 reviews are bad or mediocre...

Sat Oct 07, 2006 2:32 am

Nice to see that there's progress. Good job to whoever wrote that letter. (Ben I think?) (Y)

Sat Oct 07, 2006 2:51 am

Shit, I never thought the petition would turn out to be this big. :o

EA stock has been in choppy water this week, opening north of $55 on Monday but slipping several percentage points in response to what one analyst referred to as “lousy reviews” for NBA Live (see EA Nabs Digital Illusions).

The stock dipped $0.24 to $54.81 in recent trading.

This is too good to be true. If only EA noticed it. Great job everyone.

Excellent work, Benji.

The letter was also featured on 1UP.com.
The title reads, Ex-NBA Live Fans: Enough is Enough

Great stuff Ben & Co. (Y)

Sun Oct 08, 2006 7:29 am

Nice, I hope all of this will lead to something positive from EA's side. (Y)

Success! (Y)

I didn't think it would actually happen, but it seems benji's letter is acheiving exactly what we wanted!

I just can't believe what we have achieved here. I'm so proud, lol.

But what about this - what if, next year, for NBA Live 2008, what if EA decide the PC platform wont be profitable enough with all the bad press? What if they decide to take it away from us all together? I'd rather a sub-par game than none at all...

Let's just hope 2k sports make NBA 2k8 for PC... oh boy that would be a dream come true.

Mon Oct 09, 2006 1:25 pm

if EA cancels PC version, most people will be forced to go console, even though it's an expensive investment. Still, if that happens, chances are people will choose 2k8 over Live 08.

Mon Oct 09, 2006 1:40 pm

Wow, great to see this stuff guys. I haven't been around here in a while, for a number of reasons, but the major one was NBA 2K converting me in 2005. Hopefully Live gets their shit together, it'd be nice for 2K to have some actual competition again. Honestly I prefer NBA Live 2003 and 2004 to any of the last 3 versions.

This is great! Hehe, I think this is something that was inevitable sooner or later, like revolutions  Next thing we need is a good fix for Live or a good game next year. Let's wait and see. Meanwhile, I have some NBA26 to play around with.

that would be stupid on EA's part, because everyone would have to get a console to buy an nba game. therefore they can get 2k, so nba live sales will decrease even further.

Mon Oct 09, 2006 6:38 pm

That's true. (Though matt already pointed that out...)

And also benji enlightened me privately on the fact that PC version for EA is pure profit. Because it's just the xbox game converted over, which costs them next to nothing.

So yeah, pretty likely we'll get a PC game from EA next year. Just ignore me, lol.

Mon Oct 09, 2006 6:49 pm

[color=indigo][b]yeah, i will. :P

the sad thing is that one of those articles is actually bashing the letter.

and id close the color and bold tags, and use an apostrophe in the word id, but both the slash key and the apostrophe key pull up the find bar, meaning i cant type anything after them. weird.
