Ugh...
NBA Live isnt released for a half year and I´ve got it perfect patched!
Sorry for my english
Wed Nov 22, 2006 2:24 am
I downloaded and when I'm trying to extract I'm getting .rar is damaged or unknown format can repack and reupload?
Wed Nov 22, 2006 6:02 am
Ok guys, it seems some of you are having problems.
If your experiencing any issue with a players arms, please explain it here.
I'm guessing that it has to do with what Dekiu said, because I am not having any problems. I will re-pack with less compression, but the download will be a bit bigger.
I also missed some tattoos. If anyone knows of any players that had tats in NBA Live 06, but got NEW tats in 07, please let me know about it, since I am using the already doulbe-sized 06 tats as a base, I will need to grab their tats from 07. Double sizing all the 07 tats would be a bitch and wouldn't look as good.
EDIT - Fixed version uploaded
I uploaded a version that hopefully fixes any problems people are having. Thanks to BigH0rt for pointing out a tattoo I forgot, it was added. I used less compression in the zip file and put the default arm files in a folder instead of an archive, so I hope there are no more problems like that.

Okay, it turns out that adding the tats from the 07 players to the 06 plyrtat.viv file was causing the crashes. Those crashes would occur when you the game tried to render those players. So I am fixing the download, once again. You will have to put those players FSH's in the sgsm directory, no biggie. I'm uploading it as of now, so if you have a problem, wait a minute.

Great stuff pdub!

Loved the detailed tutorial for your CF sweat.

I've been doing the CF sweat for all teams and I'm almost done with every team. Thanks for the great stuff! oh by the way, I'm trying to download your new arms and legs sweat patch but I think the link is missing. Any help? thanks again!
oops! don't mind, already connected with the link. Thanks!

hi pdub, im new here:D !your swear patch is great but can i ask if it won't create any crash like other people mentioning in this tread???
thanks
Fri Nov 24, 2006 5:11 am
I believe I fixed it by not trying to put the tattoo's from 07 in with the 06 tat file. My game isn't crashing, I checked all the players that have caused a crash, so I believe you should be fine.
Fri Nov 24, 2006 12:46 pm
ei pdub so i just follow your instruction in the sweat patch i i would be fine???
thanks bro
Fri Nov 24, 2006 1:06 pm
Yeah. you should be fine. The sweat wasn't causing the crashes, it was the tattoos, but they are fixed.

I'm working on tweaking the stat engine. My biggest gripe is the assist leaders usually end up leading the league with about 7 per game. Points per game seem a little low, too. I wanna see more guys averaging 20+, especially guards. I see alot of Big-man bias in the stats, meaning there are ususally alot of big-men in the league leaders for points/game. I am having a tough time trying to get Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady, and Lebron James above 20 points per game. The only side effect I have had is that the team assists have gone up alot. Many teams were averaging 30 assists or more a game.
Let me know what you think about these numbers. What would you like to see changed in the simulated stats. These stats are from the original rosters that came with Live 07.

Looking forward you to do some updates on courts.....

just like the suns' made by Andreas Dahl..... for he won't release any courts this year

This is just an excellent idea!
The assists leaders seam quite right, but there are some problems with the points (even if its alot better than before!)Gguards should score more, so if you're able to fix that, it should be great!

I have tried to edit the simeng.txt before. But i noticed a another big problem with the primacy; during simulation when a player get injured, the primacy is adjusted for all players on the team, as he is placed on ir. And when he is able to play again the primacy is adjusted again for each player, BUT its not restored to how it was b4 the injury. And i realized later that this simulation primacy adjustments tend to favor Big Men(PF and C) for more primacy.I think thats is or partly is the reason why big men dominate the points per game.

Well the things that i have noticed and that really keeps me from playing a dynasty are the following unrealistic simmed stats.
- the assists per game i have to say, that they are a bit too low.
- some more guys need to average about 25-30 points per game. i mean Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, and some more superstars just average 15-19 ppg. That sucks. It would be great if those guys would average realistic numbers in the high 20s.
F and C average realistic numbers, but many guards are just way off.
-another big problem are the minutes per game. When i play the leader is always Donyell Marshall from Cleveland and Goode just doesn't play. And i also miss Iverson, Bryant, Wade, James, McGrady in the MPG category.
- the last big thing i have noticed, is that only PF are MVP candidates and get the award later on. No guards, although many guards are MVP candidates in the NBA.
So, that is what i have noticed!
And thanks for putting time and work in fixing these problem.

Nice!
I especially like that Nash is getting 10 assists...

Do you have plans to release the WIP stat engine update for testing purposes? And does this take into account the already-existing so-called Primacy fix?

Hmmm Billups should be Top 3 if u consider last year...
Nash, Paul, Billups
Rip should lead in FG %
Kobe, Iverson highest scorers

I don't know about any Primacy fix. I remember one that did not work. But, if you are talking about lowering certain players primacy rating in the players.dbf file, then you might not be happy with the simulated stats even after I release.
Allen Iverson needs a 99 Primacy just to get above 20 ppg, and he has 99 on the default rosters. The stat engine does not really take into account individual players, as it makes more global changes. For instance, I actually lowerd the assists a bit, and A.I., and LBJ finally got more than 20 ppg. Also, when I first tried to increase the ppg the first time, the league leaders were ALL big men, so there seems to be a bias in the sim engine towards inside scoring. Even players with a 70 Primacy were getting 22 ppg.
I guess I should release a beta or something, that way I can get feedback on people with different rosters, so I'll drop it a little later.
Sun Nov 26, 2006 12:22 pm
I mean the primacy fix by Mark that increased the primacy to get team leaders score more. I was recommended that fix in my dynasty thread.
I'm wondering if your fix does the same thing, or whether it will conflict with your fix (it's a simple script updating players primacy and needs to be run after every forced roster change)
And yeah the Beta would be lovely to try out
Sun Nov 26, 2006 12:51 pm
That sounds like it would actually help, because I was going through the roster, increasing and decreasing certain players primacy to try to get more stats like this NBA seasons'.

Good work Pdub
I'd say LeBron is missing from the scoring list, but more importantly-
I recon the MPG have a lot of impact on simulated stats and are perhaps the key to getting the superstars post high numbers.
can you show the MPG leaders with your tweak?
Sun Nov 26, 2006 7:21 pm
Its hard to get higher MPG. I have to tweak that area to find out more about it. I have been tweaking it, but I haven't seen many results.
I have some bad news. I was making these tweaks using season mode. I had alternated between dynasty and season before, but I just checked my latest tweak in Dynasty mode, and the assists were very weird. In season mode, the numbers were very good. Only two players had more than 9 assists per game, and there weren't too many averaging more than 6, which is good. I check Dynasty mode, and only one player has over 9 assists, the rest had 4 and a half. Should I release two versions, one for season and one for dynasty? I figure more people play dynasty mode then season mode, so I was thinking of only using dynasty mode to test.
Sun Nov 26, 2006 10:06 pm
Yup seems dynasty is the way to go
Wed Nov 29, 2006 7:38 pm
I won't be doing a simulated stats patch. Chris 23 made a much better one, so I am using his.
So......
NBA Live 2005 Press Cam anyone???
Pics with zoom on medium.
Download
I don't think I can make any custom cameras. I should be able to take any camera from a previous Live and put it in 07. I'll probably try the Sideline camera next, but I want to make sure no-one has any crashes first since this is my first camera edit.

Wow, looking great
Strange that while NBA Live has always been great in presentation, things like this can improve it even further, really amazing. I remember being so in love with Live 05, so I'll be waiting for this patch.
