Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

i don't know if yall read it but, ea says that the screenshots also are from nba live 06 and not from 07.

I don't know if you can read but Andrew and numerous others have posted this numerous times.
Wed Jun 14, 2006 8:16 pm
No, they haven't. Andrew said that screenshots are from the current gen version of Live 07, but video is from 06.. STAT proved that they aren't, they're from the current gen version of Live 06. EA gave us nothing.
Wed Jun 14, 2006 8:31 pm
Thread unlocked... pretty irritating, thanks alot EA.

As far EA giving us "nothing" is concerned...yes, it's disappointing that a mistake has been made but I do believe they sent us the media in the first place. It's not as though we were the only site to suffer that misfortunate with the video mixup. This is what I've alluded to before, people complain about EA not doing anything for us and when they do, it's thrown back in their face And then they're accused of not showing us any respect. A mistake was made, it's unfortunate. Let's move on.
As far as the screenshots are concerned, I'm yet to receive any further word on them. As far as I'm aware, they are from NBA Live 07. Perhaps their presence on the official NBA Live 06 site disproves that and there's been a further mixup or maybe they're there because the official NBA Live 07 section hasn't been launched yet. If I receive another retraction, I'll be sure to post it.
EDIT: For what it's worth, here's a comparison of a screenshot taken of the default rosters from NBA Live 06 with no face patches or any other art updates applied:
And here's one of the screens posted the other day:
If the screens we were sent are indeed from NBA Live 06, it would seem Dirk's face has been patched from the default as his hairstyle in the new screens is noticeably longer and closer to his current style than the short crop he sports in EA's default face in NBA Live 06. It seems unlikely that they would do that.

You're right. There's also a new ball.
Thu Jun 15, 2006 1:56 am
Whats up with their hands tho? Haslem squeezed his hand in a fist and is about to punch Dirk(In 07 version)!
Thu Jun 15, 2006 2:30 am
I dunno Andrew, it states pretty clearly that those screenshots are from NBA Live 06:
I understand that mistakes can be made, but sheesh.
Thu Jun 15, 2006 2:33 am
for ea, making mistakes is like a common-place fun activity,
Thu Jun 15, 2006 2:37 am
Hm, I wonder if EA will play the "we were working on Next-Gen" card if the current-gen versions are subpar.
If it's Live 06 graphics with fixed bugs, then I'll be happy.
Thu Jun 15, 2006 2:40 am
Yea, we can't expect that much out of EA.

Add significant dynasty improvments to that, and I'm with you. The graphics this year were fine without the bugs.

The EA's screens are obviously from console version (look at the resolution/no antialiasing) and Andrew's is from PC. Perhaps there's a difference between console and PC version of 06 (hair/ball)?
Thu Jun 15, 2006 6:42 am
the crowd is still looking redicolous,
and as i look at the players i dont see al lot of aprovements
Thu Jun 15, 2006 10:03 am
If you actually look at the banner advertisements in the screens it says NBA Live 07.
Thu Jun 15, 2006 10:07 am
Definately a confusing situation. I think the mistake has been made with the webmaster, and the screens are actually from 2007.

True, but the retraction was also pretty clear about the situation regarding both the screens and the mislabelled video.

No, the hairstyle/cyberfacew is the same on the console version of NBA Live 06.
I'd say it's an error on the NBA Live 06 official site, most likely due to the fact the NBA Live 07 site hasn't been launched yet. I'm still yet to receive a retraction in regards to the screenshots.

if you watch the video of the demonstration at the press conference you can see a current gen version of t-mac on live 07 when they show the new foot planting system. the current gen version looks like a new model compared to live 06, so i guess ea has new player models for everyone. sorry i cant get any screen caps

I believe they're from 07, just with the graphics toned down a bit, maybe the ps2/game cube/xbox version. The jersey textures and muscle/skin definition looks far to detailed to be from live 06.
Fri Jun 16, 2006 2:02 am
If they are from 07 and toned down....then the 07 graphics probably won't look that good.

The skin and muscle are detailed but i can't believe that'd come from 07.

They don't list that the game is going to be released on Gamecube
Fri Jun 16, 2006 3:40 pm
well then ps2 or xbox, we know that regardless of what the graphics are on PS3 or 360 it cant look much better than above on the PS2 or Xbox
Fri Jun 16, 2006 4:08 pm
Still no retraction on top of the comparison I posted earlier. Looks like they are indeed the real deal.
Sat Jun 17, 2006 12:57 pm
Those are from 07.
In the banner advertisements is says NBA Live 07 and there is one that says EPSN.
Maybe that is a way they will try to incorporate ESPN into the game.
Sat Jun 17, 2006 1:01 pm
Yea they are incorporating espn because they are in all of the new games, look at the bottom of the box.
