Newbie Thread?!

Hey i read the encouraging more members to post thread and i felt compelled to say something. I just happened upon this site, and first and foremost 2 thumbs up to the creators of all these patches and addons and what not, but i searched and searched and i dont see a newbie thread to help people who are just getting into this customizing pc games... i've been a console gamer for years and just trying to switch it up to pc gaming... is there someone with just a hint of patience to possibly answer a few questions i have?

Thats whats up... first question i have... so i'm about to go buy nba live 2007 and i'd like to have an indepth dynasty but i want jordan and magic and all them legends available to play with/or against... how many roster patches can i use at once?

U can install them as many as U wish, but use only one. I mean, once U wanna play one roster patch: You load it in the game and play as much as U wish, and after this if U want to play other roster patch - just load it. You mustn't delete previous and by loading a new one you won't loose previous (if it's saved), so You are able to install very many patches, but at one time use only one and be able to load another in the game any time U want.

so your saying i can only use one ROSTER patch at a time or one patch PEROID at a time? I saw a video on youtube and the guy on there had listed SEVERAL different patches he used...

ok so i installed the official patch (i think) then i installed the retro rosters patch and now ALL OF MY NBA COURTS are black... lightning is off not that it matters but ALL OF THEM ARE BLACK... can someone help please

You can use one ROSTER patch a time. But have installed many. Just load one U want from the Options Menu in the game.

About courts: according to the patch description (I haven't downloaded it yet) - you just didn't download rosters from here: Main Menu \ Options \ Load/Save

Or maybe U installed courts to the wrong directory, but... I think, here everything should be all right.

Only one roster file can be loaded at any one time but you can install more than one. You can install several jersey, face and court patches and utilise them all at once though.

I've downloaded a few patches, and am also very new at all of this, but I need help. I am doing a dynast mode, and I have the SUM, the NLSC official roster update, EASports official update, and a little tandy court that jaosming made for the game. But whenever I try to play the 3 point shootout in dynasty mode, the game crashes...any help??
