PS2 Controller setup for PC

Hi all Im having trouble setting up my analog sticks on my PS2 controller. Instead Im having to use the DPAD. Both analog sticks seem to think they are free style controls. I didnt have this problem on NBA Live 2005. Can any help me or send me the file with it all setup properly.
