trade interest trick

Postby pejafan17 on Thu Jun 07, 2007 9:04 pm

Here's something I tried recently..if you want to get rid of a player that no team is interested in, just change his starting position to one that a team needs and his interest will go up. Don't know if it will work for changing guards to big men but it worked when I changed shooting guard to point guard.

It usually does still work if you change a player's position to one he's not really suitable for, though that's basically cheating. However, I believe swapping a player's primary and secondary position for the sake of making a deal more appealing - particularly when it comes to swingmen - is a legit tactic since the CPU doesn't really take into account the lineup it could use if it utilised a player's secondary position after making the trade.

Sometimes I have to THINK for the PC, like when the Cavs traded for Artest only to have him subbing for Lebron and letting a scrub play the 2
