All Pro 07 Announced

Mon Apr 23, 2007 11:35 am

Taking a page out of 2k8's Football game, I want to make a Generic League with Generic Teams with NBA Legendary players. I was thinking 1 legend per team with 16 teams (max amount for playoffs).

Stadiums
I got this, I was thinking of making some outdoor stadiums along with indoor ones and making them really themed towards the team name like this

Teams
I'd like to use major cities still in the NBA. Like Boston, L.A., Miami, but Las Vegas would be good too. Thinking up different names would be interesting. Like the Boston Clovers but somethin' (we'll probably end up using that).

Legends and Players
So MJ, Wilt, Malone, Bird, who else? I can't really think right now but we should def look at the top 50 NBA players list. I'd like to keep it with retired players so no Kobe, Shaq, or LBJ. After the main legend player the other players I think should be Created Players using the Create A Player update. But if someone can think of a better way of doing that, I'm open to it. As for ratings I say we just go with a basic ratings like 100, 90, 80, 70, ect ect ect.

And of course I'm going to keep this separate from the main NBA game.

I need help with

Jerseys (512x512 w/ numbers)
Logos
Rosters
CFs
and of course Ideas for this.

let's first figure out the parts of this in this order.

What Cities
then what legends
then the team names
followed by logos / team colors
and then texture work from there.

I should have put a patent on this idea lol. Nah jk good job for organizing this mod. It will be a huge success if it is completed. I've took a break on patching and playing Live but if your desperate and need some cyberfaces hit me up.

Mon Apr 23, 2007 12:13 pm

I meant big basketball cities dude. haha

and yah I just took a break too. haha weird how that works. And I was thinking of the All Pro idea since 2k announced that, but you kinda gave it that final push in the other thread and if you wanna co-do this with me, your more than welcome too

EDIT, lets do great tandems as well. MJ and Scottie, Malone Stockton, and hakeem and clyde. maybe 2 legends per team.

Mon Apr 23, 2007 12:18 pm

Yeah dude this could be a really cool mod, and the time of completion doesn't really matter either because the rosters don't really matter. I'll think about getting all my patching shit back together I think I primarily took a break cause the weathers finally getting nice and I don't want to be on the computer for so long. But of course I'll co-do this with you this could make me want to play Live again.

I mean it can go with incremental releases too. Roster with a generic stadium but real court can go first. The new Stadiums are going to take the longest and I dont want that to hold this back.

Mon Apr 23, 2007 12:24 pm

Yeah you could probably make like 1 generic, yet amazing stadium to start off with. Like an All-Pro court. I think the rosters are going to be the hardest part, but I wouldn't know cause I've never made my own roster.

Mon Apr 23, 2007 12:41 pm

Good job dude, I'd be interested in this.... Kinda reminds me of Blitz The League and stuff.

Tue Apr 24, 2007 6:27 am

he said ainge!!

thats a laugh

I'd say to keep it a smaller league like 12 teams

biggest historical cities should be:

Boston
East Rutherford
Philadelphia
Detroit
LA
San Francisco
Chicago
St. Louis
Atlanta
Houston
Harlem
Indiana (Indianapolis)

And the legends could be from their hometown

So from Harlem you'd have Cooz and from San Francisco-Russell and from Indiana-Bird so on

Tue Apr 24, 2007 11:47 am

I'd Like to keep it 16 because thats how many teams are in the nba playoffs. But thank you both of you for coming up with ideas.
