how to !succesfully! perform a lay-up without joystick?

hi,
i'm a PC nba-live player since '99 series
as a PC player i dont accept these console joystick type moves,
so i have a quiestion since 05-06-07 nba live:
how can i perform the lay-up? all lay-ups are missed!
please help me!
