PG dominance and team offensive strategy

Postby KB#24 on Wed Oct 04, 2006 8:00 am

hi sorry for my english I don't know if this have been posted before but I think all the teams have Shooter A as their default team strategy, today I played against the Heat and I've changed their to Power C and for the first time oposing PG played like a playmaker not like Iverson :)
I'm playing on superstar with on ball defensive pressure at 100 and the game was pretty good. Williams took only 11 shots, Wade took more than 30, Shaq 15 or 16, Walker 18 and Haslem 8. Williams almost all the time tried to set up his teammates, he didin't try to drive into the paint most of the time.

I'm not sure if it was only a coincidence or changing computer offensive strategy really makes a difference in gameplay and finding correct offensive sets for all teams could change this game to more realistic one.

Since we're still patchless, I guess that could be useful in the meantime, at least if it does work with other teams as well.

KB#24, this is how Live has been for the past couple years. If they ain't figured out that they need to set the plays for the CPU by now, they ain't never gonna get it.
Another big suprise, playing on the ball defense as Jason Kidd also cuts down on opposing PG's points better than relying on a CPU Steve Nash to do all the work while you goal tend with Stoudamire.
